Temple of Karnak

Our Guide will pick you up From Your hotel or Nile cruise and move to Karnak Temple, The complex is a vast open site and includes the Karnak Open Air Museum. It is believed to be the second [citation needed] most visited historical site in Egypt; only the Giza pyramid complex near Cairo receives more visits. It consists of four main parts, of which only the largest is currently open to the public. The term Karnak often is understood as being the Precinct of Amun-Re only, because this is the only part most visitors see.

Luxor Temple

Then to large Ancient Egyptian temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile River in the city today known as Luxor (ancient Thebes) and was constructed approximately 1400 BCE. In the Egyptian language it was known as ipet resyt, "the southern sanctuary". It was one of the two primary temples on the east bank, the other being Karnak. Unlike the other temples in Thebes, Luxor temple is not dedicated to a cult god or a deified version of the pharaoh in death. Instead, Luxor temple is dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship; it may have been where many of the pharaohs of Egypt were crowned in reality or conceptually (as in the case of Alexander the Great, who claimed he was crowned at Luxor but may never have traveled south of Memphis, near modern Cairo). To the rear of the temple are chapels built by Amenhotep III of the 18th Dynasty, and Alexander. Other parts of the temple were built by Tutankhamun and Ramesses II.

Luxor Museum

The Luxor Museum was inaugurated in 1975. It is a two-story building. The range of artifacts on display is far more restricted than the country's main collections in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo; this was, however, deliberate, since the museum prides itself on the quality of the pieces it has, the uncluttered way in which they are displayed, and the clear multilingual labeling used. Then you will drive To the Local Restaurant to get your lunch and drive back to the hotel

Valley of the Kings

After Breakfast will Pick you up from your Hotel then Move to Valley of the Kings, It is a wadi sitting on the west bank of the Nile, opposite Thebes (modern-day Luxor) and within the heart of the Theban Necropolis. There are two main sections: the East Valley, where the majority of the royal tombs are situated; and the West Valley, otherwise known as the Valley of the Monkeys, The Valley of the Kings is situated over 1,000 feet of limestone and other sedimentary rock, which form the cliffs in the valley and the nearby Deir el-Bahari, interspersed with soft layers of marl. The sedimentary rock was originally deposited between 35 and 56 million years ago during a time when the Mediterranean Sea sometimes extended as far south as Aswan

Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari

Then to the temple of queen Hatshepsut which is Located opposite the city of Luxor, it is considered to be a masterpiece of ancient architecture. Its three massive terraces rise above the desert floor and into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Her tomb, KV20, lies inside the same massif capped by El Qurn, a pyramid for her mortuary complex. At the edge of the desert, 1 km (0.62 mi) east, connected to the complex by a causeway lies the accompanying valley temple. Across the river Nile, the whole structure points towards the monumental Eighth Pylon, Hatshepsut's most recognizable addition to the Temple of Karnak and the site from which the procession of the Beautiful Festival of the Valley departed. The temple's twin functions are identified by its axes: its main east-west axis served to receive the barque of Amun-Re at the climax of the festival, while its north-south axis represented the life cycle of the pharaoh from coronation to rebirth.

Then Move To Queens valley , where the wives of pharaohs were buried in ancient times. It was known then as Ta-Set-Neferu, meaning "the place of beauty". It was most famous for being the burial site of many wives of Pharaohs.[1] Pharaohs themselves were buried in the Valley of the Kings.[2] Using the limits described by Christian Leblanc, the Valley of the Queens consists of the main wadi, which contains most of the tombs, along with the Valley of Prince Ahmose, the Valley of the Rope, the Valley of the Three Pits, and the Valley of the Dolmen. The main wadi contains 91 tombs and the subsidiary valleys add another 19 tombs. The burials in the subsidiary valleys all date to the 18th Dynasty and there is tomb for Queens Nefertari

My best friend and I visited Luxor during Winter Break, and did a 2 day guided tour of the East and West Bank. We saw everything from the Valley of the Kings and Queens to Hatshepsut’s Temple and Luxor and Karnak Temple. It was an absolutely amazing experience. Mr. Ahmed was our tour guide, and he explained how all of the temples and tombs were built, who the rulers were, and gave information about the daily life in ancient Egypt. He even read and translated the hieroglyphics! If you have a chance to visit Luxor, definitely schedule a tour with Mr. Ahmed!

Had a fantastic 2 day tour with Ahmed and Shaimaa. The temples were fantastic as were the tombs. Both guides took each day and both were amazing at explaining the history and suggesting which tombs and things to see while giving ample free tome to take photos after the explanations to wander observe at each visit. The pick ups were some and driver great and vehicle very comfortable. Overall a 10/10 experience and I would highly recommend doing a tour with this group.

    Day 1: Luxor & Karnak
My two-day excursion began with guide Ahmed, who introduced himself by his nickname Mido. He turned out to be a true source of knowledge, not only did he know an incredible amount about history and Egyptian mythology, but he could also analyze hieroglyphs on the spot and explain them clearly and fluently. The program started at the impressive Karnak Temple, where the grandeur and details immediately overwhelm you. Here, I had a very special experience meeting Seghmet, located just outside the main temple complex. My guide took me there upon request. After that, we visited a papyrus shop, where not only beautiful works were for sale, but also the entire production process was demonstrated up close, very interesting and authentic. Of course, this was a well planned commercial stop. Next on the program was the Luxor Museum, which houses a wonderful collection that makes Egypt’s rich history tangible. To conclude the day, I visited the Luxor Temple. Here too, I received a lot of information about Egyptian history and the cooperation with Alexander the Great. The tour went smoothly, and Mido often checked if I needed anything. He also suggested alternative options, such as going to Aswan instead of the Valley on the second day. That was very thoughtful of him, but I stuck to the original plan. Mido is an excellent guide. Day 2: Hatshepsut & the Valley of the Kings
On the second day, I was guided by Azza, a female guide with enormous knowledge and a warm personality. Spending the day with her was truly enjoyable, she went deeper into my questions, and we also had more personal conversations. I completely relied on her expertise in selecting which tombs to visit, and that turned out to be spot on. We first visited the impressive Temple of Hatshepsut, then the Valley of the Queens, and as the highlight, the Valley of the Kings. The order proved to be perfectly chosen, which made the experience even more intense. Before lunch, we stopped at a large family run workshop that works with different natural stones and creates stunning statues. It was fascinating to see how traditional craftsmanship and art come together. Again, this was a commercial stop, but a very enjoyable one to experience. Between visits, we also stopped at a local restaurant, where I had, without a doubt, the best meal of my entire trip to Egypt.
This two-day excursion combined impressive monuments with excellent guides who each brought history to life in their own way. Thanks to Mido and Azza, the trip was not only informative but also personal and unforgettable.

The two-day guide tour was a great experience. The first day visited the Karnak temple, then a shop where they paint papyrus paintings and you get explained the production process. Then visited Luxor museum and the Temple. My guide was called Ahmed but calls himself Mido. He has a lot of knowledge and can read and explain the hieroglyphics extremely well. Sometimes I felt like we had to go through everything very quickly. The heat must have had to do with that. Be sure to ask to go to the statue of Seghmet. That's a little further from the temple. On day two I was assigned a female guide, Azza. A wonderful woman with a lot of knowledge. I have followed her expertise fully in visiting a number of tombs in the Valley of the Kings. Had great conversations with her about Egyptian mythology. No question was too much for her to answer at length. Had a lovely lunch at a local restaurant. Also had a stop at a family business where statues are made from different types of natural stone. The guides were very competent and professional.

The operators of the tour contacted on WhatsApp right after the booking was conformed. They were flexible with our schedule regarding arriving and so forth. They offered extras and were not pushy. They checked daily for our satisfaction with the guide, vehicle, and driver. The guide and driver were knowledgeable, informative, willing to help and offered help even for issues that were not part of the tour. We had a wonderful two days and would recommend to anyone wanting to check Luxor off their bucket list.
