Hire your own speed boat with a car driving licence. A full map briefing and boat tuition is given before you set off on this amazing journey. From first timers to experienced sailors, you will have fun. All boats come with a cool box and all necessary safety equipment. Skis, wakeboards, kneeboards and inflatable tubes are also available to hire The coastline of the Akamas is one of the most beautiful in Cyprus. When you rent a boat you will have many different bays to explore and sights to see along the way. Some of the highlights are described below, although there are also many more bays to explore. Suggested Places to Explore St Georges Island, located approx. 800 meters off St George’s Reef. On the surface the barren volcanic outcrop is home to multiple species of seabirds, whilst below the surface is home to a vast array of marine life including tuna, groupers, trumpet fish and octopus. Secret Beach. There you can swim through the cave or around the rocks to the hidden sandy beach, but it’s a secret so don’t tell anyone! Manolis Bay. As you enter this bay you will notice that the water has taken on a beautiful blue colour, this is due to the fine white sand on the seabed. As you progress into the bay you will see the caves and jumbled rocks that make this bay so interesting, when snorkeling look out for the large family of trumpet fish that have made this bay their home and observe the way they change colour relative to their environment. The Blue Lagoon. The most popular bay in the whole of Cyprus, as soon as you arrive you will be dazzled by the beautiful white sandy bottom and crystal clear turquoise water. The stunning chamili islet provides an impressive habitat for many types of marine life and excellent snorkeling. This bay is a definite must! Fontana Amorosa. The name translates to ‘fountain of love’ but for the ancient romans it was more like the fountain of life. An inland spring was located here that provided a fresh water supply for their fleet. There are still four visible cutouts in the rocks for docking boats and its location provides shelter from the prevailing wind, a perfect place to stop for awhile. Look underwater and as you might expect from a harbour you will find some rubbish, but ancient rubbish in the form of amphora. Some are said to be offerings to the gods, whereas others are clearly from shipwrecks. Most of these have now fused into the rocks and have become homes to various types of marine life. Arnaoutis Beach. Situated at Cyprus’s western most point, this golden sandy beach is an ideal spot for a picnic and its seclusion makes it an ideal place to get away from it all. From there you will see the offshore reef which is 8km from Latchi harbour and a turnaround point for your trip along the coast.

5.00Great morning out on the water, good advice was given to us by the Latchi watersports team, so we managed to get to good swimming spots before the crowds arrived. Definitely recommend this to family's wanting fun!

5.00Pippa was an excellent captain and made us feel very comfortable on board. We were in safe hands. She gave us lots of options of where to go and what to do. She did everything we asked for and more! The scenes were gorgeous, the water was clear and we even got to swim with some fish. One of the passengers wasn’t comfortable swimming, but we were given a life jacket so he could swim too. Would recommend wholeheartedly. Just don’t forget to bring some drinks and snacks.

5.00We hired a Marinello 26 10 person boat for 2 4 four slots over two days and we absolutely loved every minute of it. Boat was in great condition, ran smoothly and had all the safety requirements on board. Prior to boarding, there is an in depth safety demonstration regarding operation of the boat, where you can and can’t anchor and how to anchor. The company also have a safety boat that patrols the coast line and comes into all the bays where you can anchor, they will check you are safe and even move the boat and anchor you closer to shore if you so need. Overall, a fantastic experience and we will be back when we come back to the Polis/latchi area!

5.00Had a fabulous day with the family hiring a speedboat to explore the coves and the blue lagoon. The boat was lovely, and the staff at the Waters Sports Centre were awesome. Very friendly, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. There are patrol boats on the coast to help you if you need it. All in 5 star service and a great day.

4.00Great experience! Except on the way back where we were informed that the propeller was damaged, so big panic 😬, fortunately you had taken photos before, in short lost 45 minutes of discussion with stress. It ruined our great day
