Onboard our 50’ pristine Catamaran Yacht, our always low passenger capacity makes for an intimate at sea experience. The luxury whale watching cruises feature a perfect balance of gorgeous nautical details, and spacious viewing areas which allow you and your family to get up-close views of wild marine mammals including giant blue whales, humpback whales, mega pods of dolphin, and so much more. The unique 360-viewing walk around feature, allows for a perfect view from almost any vantage point onboard and means you’ll never miss a moment. Our favorite spot onboard is up front, where you can gaze down at bow riding dolphin, which will glide just below your feet on one of the dual bows, so close they are almost within arm’s reach!

All guests will check in at Davey's Locker and pick their boarding pass up from the office. The office will then direct all guests to the appropriate line where the crew will grab all guests and direct them to the vessel.

Great whale watching trip

5.00Crew was friendly and knowledgeable, tracking down some whales and giving good information while we waited for them to surface. There’s no guarantee you’ll see the wild animals, but they did a good job for us and we had a fun trip. If you ride in front, you may get wet.

5.00We went on the Catallac which is smaller and faster than some of the other ferries. We only had 11 people on our cruise and it was nice. The boat has a great viewing area in front but we were warned we would get wet on the way back so we went inside. We saw two gray whales and tons of playful dolphins. The crew was informative and made a point of going around so we saw the whales twice. Highly recommend this on a sunny afternoon!

5.00We did the whale watching tour out of Newport Beach. While we didn't see any whales, we did see a large pod of dolphins. The captain and crew were fantastic and made the adventure safe, informative and fun. I liked that there were refreshments on board for purchase.

5.00Beautiful clear and calm day to be on a cameraman on the Pacific. We saw plenty of wildlife, but the whales were hiding today. So, the dolphins saved the day with their playful interactions with the boat. The 2 captains and their crew did an excellent job with the narratives and service.

5.00Dani, our captain and Matt our first mate were great! Our friends from Minneapolis came to get out of the cold. It was great to have a small amount of people on the boat. We all had a place to sit. There was plenty of area for everyone to stand around the railing to see the dolphins, seals and the whale. They have a place inside the cabin to purchase hot chocolate, coffee tea or adult beverages (and a bathroom). Dani was very knowledgeable and gave us information about the dolphins, seals and whales. We saw 2 different pods of dolphins that swam right along with the boat, very playful. We saw one gray whale that came up at least 3 times. It flipped it tail twice for us. It was great being out on the water.

5.00The boat was clean and did not feel crowded. While we did not see whales, we did find several pods of dolphins, and dolphins tend to be more active than whales. The captain was very accurate in predicting the actions of the dolphins. We were easily able to move from the front of the boat to the back to watch the dolphins as they played around the boat.

4.00Went with my girlfriend and had a good time. Saw one young humpback whale and tons of playful frolicking dolphins. Gorgeous sunset to top off the outing. Would definitely do this again.

5.00This was a great tour. We saw hundreds of dolphins, a few sea lions, and 2 whales. The capacity of the boat was limited which made viewing easy. The only thing I would change is saying "luxury" for this tour. Just put limited seating or capacity, nothing luxury about the cruise if your looking for that.

Whales, Dolphins, Sea Lions!

5.00I was excited for this trip as it’s migration season for the whales going from Alaska to Mexico. We saw a grey whale and got to see it many times as it surfaced every 2 minutes or so. It was so awesome. Then we headed for a pod of bottle nosed dolphins who loved riding the bow of the boat. I stood right at the front and got the best view. They were swimming right below me and darting in and out of the water. It was everything I hoped it would be. On the way back stopped by to see some sea lions chilling on a buoy as well as seeing pelicans take off from the water. I absolutely loved the sailing aspect of the boat too, I got soaked but it was 100% worth it. I stood at the bow of the boat, in the rain, with the surf sometimes splashing me….it was excellent and I’d happily do it again. Great crew and wonderful cruise.
