We will meet at our workshop filled with materials, tools and products. This is where you become an insider on the history of this humble people's shoe that evolved into a major fashion trend.
Together with master artisans you will craft your own pair of Espadrilles. Handpicking out of 100k+ different combinations, you will chose the size of the base, the stitching style and the color and type of the laces, you will learn the different ways to lace them up!
At the end, you will feel like a true artisan. You'll get a wearable memory of Curaçao (hardly available to visitors) and a really cool story to tell. Are you ready?

First we will meet at the Entrance Hall where we will have a some drinks while you learn about the humble origins of this show that today is considered a luxury item in the fashion world.

5.00I had such a fun time learning about Curacao history and making Espadrilles. Shasan (I’m terribly sorry because I’m sure I’m spelling her lovely name incorrectly) was so sweet and a great teacher. Thank you for a great experience.

5.00Signed up for the shoe making class with some friends, and it was totally worth it. The ladies working the shop were super friendly, and did a great job teaching us about the history or curacao while also being great teachers when it came to making our own Espadrilles. Definitely worth visiting and taking the shoe making class while you're on the island!

5.00What a wonderful experience. When you arrive they are all set up with mimosas and chips and wonderful staff members. They walk you through the history of the shoe and help you make your own pair. It takes some time, but it was worth it. If you are cruising the shop is within walking distance from the cruise port, just over the floating bridge. You will pass plenty of souvenir shops along the way to purchase items for family and friends. Don’t worry about yourself you will leave this excursion with a one of a kind item just for you!!!

5.00It was so invigorating because I was VIP while doing my experience since I made my Esperanzas alone! The team at the store is a WHOLE VIBE! This was one of the best parts of my trip to be able to learn more about Curacao and create my own pair of shoes! I was not rushed when making my creation and given time to take shots and enjoy the vibe with the crew! You also get a discount to purchase another pair of shoes in the store and who has enough shoes?!?!? I highly recommend this experience to EVERYONE!
