• The fantastic guide. We didn't like the tour.

  2hs journey from Panama City. You are wanted at your hotel and until you reach Puerto Lindo you make several stops (supermarket to buy things to take to the island) and Portobello. Those who like history can know a lot about the Afro culture and the history of the place. The port is not cute at all, there is a lot of dirt and a lot of children asking for coins while parents wait to be given them. We also gave them some snacks that we brought for the children to eat and the parents ended up eating them themselves and did not give them to the children. Unpleasant. The island itself has nothing. The water is beautiful but it is full of stones. You have to wear water shoes if or if. The food that is included in the tour comes already prepared from Puerto Lindo (we did not want to imagine how it was done) we did not like it. We rescue the most excellent will of Josua our guide. A boy love that always accompanied us and explained every detail. Very willing to make the tour pleasant for us. Super friendly and polite. It is the highlight of the day: its kindness and accompaniment. For reasons of incoordination it was late for the tour of the tunnel of love and the island of monkeys. We were already tired and had 2hs of travel back to the city so we decided not to because we would arrive at night. The road is winding and tiresome. Perhaps the vehicle should have been more spacious and comfortable to improve the experience as we were 4 adults quite tight for such a long trip. Summing up the tour is not worth it, we did not like it. We recommended 100% to the guide but there were several disagreements that did not make the experience enjoyable as we thought. We were hoping otherwise. Advice if you want beach go to Contadora which is much more beautiful the island and beaches and you will spend more or less the same.

  Joshua is an excellent guide the organization and accompaniment on the tour is effective. As a local not only laminformacion of the tour but also advises before the processes that take place in the islands. It is also very friendly and welcoming. We'll be back for good.   I wanted one day to be able to relax and be on the beach and this tour completely fulfilled this. Joshua our driver passed us promptly to the hotel in the old town, the car very comfortable, we went to buy in a supercito things we would like to have on hand to chop, from there we headed to Portobelo where we took the boat to the island. Before arriving to the island we take a short boat tour of the mangroves that are impressive, very beautiful and the natural pool where the water is very clear and perfect to go down to relax for a while, but we prefer to go directly to the island to relax. We stayed practically all day, we had a very good weather and lunch that is included equally rich a typical dish. Just keep in mind that when you arrive on the island, if you want to be in a palapa with beds you must rent it for about $20 from the palapa and $5 from the bed, plus they have chairs that rent for $1, but it is completely worth it because you have a place to be all day watching the sea, protecting yourself from the sun or rain. On this tour there is nothing more to do, but to see the sea and relax! Ahh and we were lucky enough to see a sloth!!
