If you are a more experienced kayaker, trying to get away from the regular crowds and varying levels of experience and skill that come with them, the 4 hour excursion trip is for you. This is a tour for the adventurer, an opportunity to go a little bit further and see a whole lot more. Spend 4 hours total on the water, guided by an experienced local naturalist, exploring the vast cypress forests and bayous that make up our nation’s 2nd largest bald cypress swamp

5.00Nick was a highly knowledgeable naturalist. He showed us wildlife and taught us about swamp life. We saw barred owls, baby gaitors and more. He accommodated the pace of the various participants, myself and a family.

5.00This was the best kayaking experience I have ever had. Our guide was excellent at spotting birds and animals, so we saw a lot of different birds and also so alligators over our trip, which was more than four hours. We went at a leisurely pace so that we could focus on seeing the wildlife.

5.00I just finished the extended kayaking tour of Manchac Swamp and it was absolutely amazing! Our guide Stephanie was super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the swamp and its wildlife. I really appreciated how she tailored the tour to the group and made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe. Paddling through the serene waters, surrounded by cypress trees and Spanish moss, felt like stepping into another world. I loved seeing and hearing so many different birds. It was the perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, and learning. Highly recommended!

5.00[email protected] We went on our first swamp kayak tour and this was a HIGHLIGHT of our time in NOLA! Our guide, Stephanie, was super knowledgeable, attentive, and made the experience fantastic. We saw so much- from alligators (many) to egrets, herons, owls, turtles, fish and even a water snake. Bravo!

5.00We had the most amazing (!) and educational swamp kayak tour experience, led by Nick from Kayak Swamp Tours. Nick was incredibly knowledgeable about everything swamp related - from animal wildlife, geography, nature, history, conservation and future plans. We saw an amazing number of alligators, owls and many bird species, turtles and even deers running across drylands in the swamp. We cannot recommend Nick highly enough! Thank you so much!

5.00It was a brilliant tour, one of the best things we did on our trip to New Orleans, Stephanie was a great guide and took time to explain the background to the swamp and the animals and birds that we saw. We were glad we took the longer tour as it enabled us to see much more.

5.00Nick was our guide with a wealth of knowledge of the area, trees, and local wildlife. We had a great experience with him and our two other group members. We were able to go deep into the bayou which is what we were looking for.
