  This was the BEST tour I’ve ever had. Richard was informative, knowledgeable and friendly. He knew the area perfectly, he showed me off the beaten track things, I can’t wait for my next tour with him. I wouldn’t consider anyone else, he was a REAL find, thanks so much RICHARD !!

  What a lovely, informative, chill tour! Richard was very knowledgeable and had great stories about the people who inhabited some of the places that we visited. He was also very helpful and patient as we asked questions and got distracted by all the teas in Dammann. The one feature that stood out for me was the pace of the tour. We never once felt like we were being rushed through the area. Also, as a local, he had first hand experience with all of the tasty sweet and savory shops in neighborhood.   Richard was excellent, he was fun, had a good mix of interesting stories to tell, took us to some very different specialist shops and historical buildings. He had a lovely voice, went at a perfect pace and was just right for our group. We would highly recommend him as a guide. We hope to go on another tour with him in the future .

  Three of us had a fun and informative walk around the Marais with Richard. Although familiar with other parts of Paris, the Marais has some unique historic corners we enjoyed discovering on this tour. Intimate and informative. Touring with a local is best.

  If you are looking for an unparalleled tour experience in Paris, look no further than Richard! His expertise and knowledge of the city are simply breathtaking. We were constantly impressed by the sheer breadth of information he provided, not only covering the major historical sites but also guiding us to fantastic, unique little stores that we would never have found on our own. Balancing that exploration of hidden gems with the grander, more famous shops made the entire day a true highlight. It was an extremely hot day during our tour, but Richard was excellent at managing the situation. He thoughtfully adjusted the itinerary to ensure we stayed comfortable and met the needs of the day, which was greatly appreciated. Despite the heat, Richard remained incredibly upbeat and positive the entire time, keeping our energy levels high. His personal, unique little tidbits about the history and culture made every stop feel special and memorable. I would absolutely recommend Richard to anyone visiting Paris and would definitely book with him again!

  Richard was an excellent guide. I don't speak French, and he is from NY city, so there were no translation issues. His knowledge of the area was top of the line. Good stories and overall very entertaining. Would highly recommend.

  I imagine it would have been a good experience. However, the meeting point is very unclear. We waited 45 minutes in drizzle and did not see the tour operator. No one with any kind of signage was around, and we looked. He says he was at a bank, we were at #8 rue de rivoli where we were supposed to meet. Where was the bank?Very unclear. My phone didn't work so I didn't receive any messages until back at the hotel. Viator will not refund the fees as the operator would not ok it. I completely understand not receiving a full refund, but feel we should have received something as everything was quite unclear.

  Richard's tours are a wonderful way to get up close and personal with a neighborhood in Paris. He provides fascinating insights along the way, and his selected stops are spot-on. We had a great time and can't wait to return to Paris and see another neighborhood with Richard.

  Having wanted to go to Giverny for 20-25 years, I finally made it! Under the guidance of Richard, I was treated to the trip from Paris, and hours of joyous viewing at Money's home and gardens! We were in peak flower season, and the abundance of color, the tulips, irises, lilies, begonias, roses, etc. were amazing! of course, seeing the flowers in the green bridge, mirrored in the water, was a sight! Monet's house was interesting, and I would not mind living there for a few weeks! The tour was so good, that i asked Richard if he could show me some hidden gems in the Marais, which we did in the early evening. Wonderful! I would definitely tour anywhere in the region with Richard!

• Great morning tour in Le Marais

  Loved spending the morning with Richard. He's very laid back and we never felt rushed or hurried. Absolutely loved the Marais area and wandering around seeing the various shops and stores. It was enjoyable to stop at a local outdoor cafe and get a coffee and pastry, too!
