We will take you to the summit of Mauna Kea to see the sunset and we will do stargazing afterward (not at the summit). Our most unique part is that our guides will take the photo of the sunset and stars for you using their DSLR camera.
All photos are free of charge and you will get it to your smartphone at the end of the tour.

Onizuka Astronomy Complex
Onizuka Visitor Information Station We will take a break at the Onizuka Visitor Center at an altitude of 2,800m or 9,000ft for early dinner and altitude acclimatization. We also change clothes for winter clothes here depending on the weather. Also gift shop is open for guests to purchase the items. (No food or drink sale)

5.00James was a great tour guide. Super friendly and fun. The summit of Mauna Kea tour was amazing. Incredible to see all of the world’s most powerful telescopes up close and literally open up for the evening to image the stars! The stargazing experience was also great.

5.00We had an amazing trip with perfect weather! I highly recommend booking with this group. They offer plenty of complimentary photos, snacks, and drinks. The tour includes several stops at the telescopes and culminates at the summit for a stunning sunset view. They also provide warm ski pants and jackets. After sunset, we descended a bit to stargaze, enjoy more free photos, and sip on hot chocolate. Our tour guide, James, was fantastic!

5.00We would recommend this tour to guide James immediately. We were picked up on time and friendly at the meeting point and then drove to the Visitor Center. Here is a mandatory break that could be used well for a trip to the toilet and the sandwiches. DA we were not hungry yet, so we saved the sandwiches for later. Both the sandwich with bacon and the vegan version tasted very good. ES was made sure several times whether we would feel well or suffer from altitude sickness - fortunately this was not the case. The guide was very safe and pleasant to drive. Once at the top we saw many different Tel ES kope, many photos were taken of us by the guide and we admired the sunset. Our highlight afterwards was a spectacular starry sky (we were very lucky with the weather), which we admired with a hot cocoa. We were allowed to look through a telescope and shown the constellations with a laser. The photos that have been taken are beautiful. Thank you so much!
