SSR Botanic Garden
Pamplemousses Botanical Garden, is a popular tourist attraction in Pamplemousses, near Port Louis, Mauritius, and the oldest botanical garden in the Southern Hemisphere. Famous for its long pond of giant water lilies (Victoria amazonica), the garden was first constructed by Pierre Poivre (1719 – 1786) in 1770, and it covers an area of around 37 hectares. In addition to its giant waterlilies, the garden also features spices, ebonies, sugar canes, and 85 varieties of palms from Central America, Asia, Africa and the islands around the Indian Ocean. Many trees have been planted by world leaders and royalty, including Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, Indira Gandhi, François Mitterrand and Robert Mugabe.
Le Caudan Waterfront
Caudan, as it is now commonly known, was the first major shopping development of its kind on the island of Mauritius. It remains to this day an iconic shopping destination for locals and tourists alike. In the mall, visitors will find the latest fashion shops and trends, a popular arts and craft market, known as the Craft Market, Specialty shops selling unique local goods such as replica ships, Indian garments, locally fabricated jewelry or art paintings from local artists. The shopping center also boasts cinemas, a marina, a bookstore, restaurants and cafes, a museum, hosting two of the rarest stamps in the world, a casino and tax free shopping options for tourists. Although being the first shopping mall on the island, Caudan has been able to keep up with the trends and maintains its allure as a modern waterfront mall.

5.00I chose this tour because of the private, customizable nature, and the ability to see so much of Mauritius. I was not disappointed and I had one of the best days! My driver, Avi, was completely open to my requests and made it an incredibly fun day. For me, the views of the topography, the incredible beach drive and breaks were ideal. I enjoyed the botanical gardens, I especially recommend the pink 🪷 lotus. THANK YOU, Avi for all the information about Mauritius!! Highly recommend for solo travelers.

2.00It was our last day at once every minute was counted. The driver arrived 45 minutes late in the morning for the last mission of the day. We arranged to meet at a Parking lot at 3:15 pm. It arrived at 4pm another 45 minutes wasted in the day it is an hour and a half lost as there are two of us with my wife, we lost three hours on our last day. It is inadmissible if you can obtain monetary compensation from me. Do not hesitate otherwise you are not about to see me again. Have a nice end to the day.

5.00Baboo was exceptional from start to finish: very professional guide, attentive, punctual and with clear and interesting explanations throughout the day. Thanks to him, the visit to the north of Mauritius is fluid, well organized and pleasant. The program is complete and balanced: botanical garden of Pamplemousses, citadel of Port-Louis, Cap Malheureux . Private transport is comfortable and allows you to fully enjoy every stop. An excellent activity, perfectly supervised by Baboo, ideal to discover the north of the island in complete serenity.

5.00Everything was perfect , the guide driver really competent , made us know a lot about the scene , the story , never miserly explanations , and very friendly in addition . He took care of us for 9 hours for a really complete tour.
