The excursion did not meeting our expectations from the description given. We will not downgrade the experience due to the deplorable conditions of the roads nor the fact the handicap accessibility was down right dangerous with a very steep narrow ramp with 90 degree turns on narrow platforms with no guardrails. Ramon, our guide, repeated the history of the eruption of the three volcanoes hidden in the clouds three times on the trip to the village with very little other commentary coming or going. At the museum, he got us inside and sat down to eat his lunch. No description (or translation) of any of the methods used, history of the patterns. What little we learned was from pantomiming questions, a young woman's translation and the limited English of one of the weavers (mostly her sales pitch). He did take some pictures of us that he sent to our travel agent and pointed out an early church and the local laundromat which had wifi. My husband is a weaver and we selected this shore excursion to learn about a very unique and special skill being passed down for generations. Our knowledge came from our reading on the Internet NOT as we expected from a knowledgeable guide. A very expensive day for a mostly look around ourselves.
