  This experience was great. From the transportation to the activities, we had an amazing time. We got so lucky and saw orcas on our whale watching trip in addition to several humpback whales. One of the best parts in addition to even seeing the whales was the crew’s excitement and energy. Their commitment and love of these animals is contagious and I loved seeing it. Our driver, Ian on bus 102, was also so passionate about Alaska and sharing his wealth of knowledge! We learned so much on our drive and got to see some eagles! If there was one thing to change it would only be to have maybe two bus times back to the ship from Mendenhall Glacier for those who don’t want to do the hike down all the way to the falls and may need less time there. Otherwise, this adventure was absolutely perfect and well worth the money. Unforgettable experience!

  We had a fine time locating the meeting spot and the process of booking. The bus driver was informative and funny which made the ride quick. The boat crew were really great and the warmed cabin was comfortable, but the fog on the glass you had to keep wiping to see anything was problematic but totally understandable given the weather and season. The boat was beautiful and my husband kept mentioning he really wanted one just like it. We saw whales which was great and being on the water was beautiful amongst the scenery. Why I gave 3 stars was the mendenhall glacier portion of the experience. When we got off the boat and headed to the glacier, we were behind on time, where that happened I'm unsure but it seemed confusing who was getting on what bus is where I would guess. Then as we drove, the driver was pleasant and chatty but then apparently a large group that came in together it seemed wanted to cut the trip short is how the question was framed from the bus driver that if everyone was in agreeance, we could leave 30min early. For us, we were a group of 9 people and paid the same amount as everyone else and were looking forward to the full alotted time but were overruled while on the bus. Once everyone was off, we spoke with the driver and explained that we aren't cutting time short we were staying for the specified time and that he specifically stated if all were in favor, as in the entire bus, we would leave early and we were NOT in favor of this. He understood and started to back track that it was suggested by management and he can show us the text but then reading the text from his manager, it plainly stated if the large party was in favor then they'd be okay if he decided to head back early. I stated, "so its a suggestion not mandatory." I felt very rushed, we didnt get to go down to nugget falls, visitor center was closed (in the booking summary it says the state park fee is included but who was collecting that? Feels like a fake fee) we snapped a few photos and headed back. For $1800 for us 9, I wanted full experience. We watched insane amounts of Youtube videos before our trip and the hike down to nugget falls to see Mendenhall glacier up close was going to be our highlight and to be honest, knowing that we were going to be so limited on time, we would've just booked the whale watching and saved money. Loved the whales portion definitely not the glacier portion.

  All guides were super friendly and informative. Their boats and buses are very well maintained and they utilize newer equipment. We had an amazing experience watching the whales and then getting dropped off at the national forest to enjoy at our leisure. Very professional company that takes care of their customers. This tour is definitely a must! We loved it.

  The glacier was impressive and beautiful. The whale watching was our best excursion on our Alaska cruise. We saw probably 20 plus whales! Great time!

  Incredible and unforgettable experience! We saw humpback whales and orcas up close and the boat crew was great - friendly and informative and they worked hard to make sure we saw as many whales as possible. Definitely recommend!!
