Messina
Get ready for an unforgettable experience! Our tour will start DA Messina, the ancient "gateway to Sicily", where history and modernity, legends and traditions, resilience and beauty come together. After our meeting, along the panoramic road that runs along the port in the shape of a sickle, you will be able to admire the statue of the Madonna della Lettera, patron saint of Messina that welcomes anyone arriving from the sea. DA here will start our tour to two jewels of our territory: Castelmola and Taormina.
Castelmola
Our first stop will be the charming medieval village of Castelmola, perched on a hill overlooking the landscape! Castelmola, which was once the site of an ancient Norman castle, is now known to host one of the most particular bars in the world: the Bar Turrisi! An authentic Sicilian landmark known for its unique furnishings. Here we will take a break to explore the cultural significance of the iconic phallic shapes used as bar decorations. Far from being vulgar, they are a vivid tribute to ancient Greek culture, symbolising the very essence of freedom, fertility and life. This is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of the famous almond wine along with delicious Sicilian cannoli.

Excellent Day with Alessandro in Sicilia

5.00We had a wonderful day with Alessandro and Aurora. He was a very safe driver and she was an extremely knowledgeable and great guide. We experienced one of the few rainy days in Sicily, but they were prepared with umbrellas and ponchos. We opted not to walk up the hill in Savoca due to mobility issues. (They were both very kind and helpful in assisting my husband with his wheelchair.) Alessandro was kind enough to go out and take photos for us though, and came back with a little surprise treat for us gals, which we very much appreciated. We went on to Taormina and Castelmola. Breathtaking scenery and views. Spent some free time in Taormina, which is lovely, but soon had to duck into DG to stay dry and enjoyed a delicious cappuccino. Both our hosts communicated with us to see if we were ready to leave or stay longer. We stopped In Castelmola and were treated to true Sicilian cannoli and samples of local wines, in a very unique restaurant/bar. And the Sun finally came out to welcome us to warm Sicilian hospitality! We had a great day !

5.00Our guide Paria was Outstanding. She was full of energy and a wealth of information. We were able to see and experience sights that I've only seen on TV and the movies. We were lucky to have her on our journey. And I would be remissed if I didn't mention our amazing driver Alessandro. He got us up and down the mountain safely and also was a wealth of knowledge. If I could give 10 stars for both of them, I would.

5.00UNFORGETTABLE DAY!! WOW is all I can say!! Alessandro and Pari gave us a day we will never forget! Excellent communication from the beginning- picked us up at our port and away we went, just early enough to avoid the crowds. We learned history, fun facts, food musts and specialities. It really was the most perfect day! And the boys even got to meet MAMA ROSA herself! Taromina is so special- certainly a day we will treasure! But mostly because of Pari and Alessandro!

5.00Aurora and Fulvio have an outstanding tour of the beautiful cities of Taormina and Castelmola. They were absolutely perfect in terms of providing education and information. We wanted a private tour to have a more personal touch and it was 100% worth it. Skip the bus tour and see Sicily with the best!

5.00The day of visit with Alessandro was perfect! He waited for us at the foot of the boat, we had time to visit and stroll too. The car for 6 people was super clean. We also had a little attention with fresh water. The landscapes are breathtaking! Thank you!!

5.00Our tour guide, Marisa, and our driver, Alessandro, were the perfect pair to lead us through the most amazing and unforgettable day. They picked us up at the cruise port and took us from Messina to Taormina and Castelmola. What a day! Every stop was perfectly planned. Winding roads, stunning views, a taste of the local food. We had pasta, pizza, cannoli, almond wine and they even bought us local cookies made that morning. We walked into old churches and found gems we never could have found on our own. They managed to keep us away from most of the crowds during this busy tourist season. Their knowledge and attention to detail was exactly what we needed. Can't wait to come back!

5.00Alessandro and Kimberly were the best! So kind and accommodating. We had a wonderful time learning about Messina and Taormina. Had delicious food and amazing views. Would recommend 10/10! The best day of our entire 2 week trip. This is a must do private tour. Thanks so much, Alessandro and Kimberly! Hope to see you, again!
