To access the terraces, participants must climb 150 narrow steps—there is no elevator.
Children under 7 years old are not permitted on the terraces and therefore cannot join the tour.
Closed-toe, flat shoes are mandatory. High heels and flip-flops are strictly prohibited for safety reasons.
Modest attire is required to enter places of worship: shoulders and knees must be covered. Tank tops and short dresses are not allowed.
Backpacks are not allowed inside the Accademia or Duomo.
Photography is only permitted without flash inside the museums
Do not lean over railings or extend objects, including cell phones, beyond them.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who assumes full responsibility.

5.00Aldo was a wonderfully informative tour guide. We chose the first entry to see the David, a one hour tour. It was perfect! The David is incredible and the way it is displayed with other works of art is so thoughtful. Aldo’s explanation of the artwork allowed me to better understand the artist and the medium that he was working with. We also walked around other pieces of artwork and learned about the different painting techniques as well.

5.00This was a wonderful experience! From meeting our tour guide to walking int the museum was about 10 minutes, skipping a very long line. Our guide, Livia, was amazing. She combined rich historical detail about a wide variety of artists and techniques with an engaging humour and genuine interest that kept the tour captivating. We would definitely recommend taking this tour!

5.00LivTours enabled us to be among the first of the day to view David - there were only about 15 others around him when we arrived! Babi made our entry seamless and smooth. We especially enjoyed learning the history of David and Michaelangelo from her. Highly recommend Babi as a tour guide for this experience!

5.00Our tour was fantastic. Martina was very knowledgeable and friendly and thoroughly enjoyed her job, you could tell. The 1-hour length was perfect. Would definitely recommend. This was the 2nd Liv tour we did while in Italy, and they are worth every penny.

5.00The amazing Barbara….our second tour with her while in Florence. She was warm and welcoming as usual. She is so keen that she guided our group of five to be the VERY FIRST in the building to view David. Breathtaking it was. She provided all of the history and detail from every angle of this magnificent sculpture. A most special morning it was.

5.00Martina did a great job explaining David in context on Florence and MichaelAngelo's life, along with MichaelAngelo's other sculptures on site, and even some added info about medieval art as it moved into the renaissance! Once again, LivTours lives up to it's expectations

5.00It was stunning to see the David before too many visitors were in the museum. The sculpture is so perfect and so perfectly displayed that it is jaw dropping. But, do note: you will not be in the museum before the public is allowed in. The museum opens at 8:15 and you will be first in line. But the public will come in. The guide, Barbara (nicknamed Bobbi), was great at ushering me in faster than the public. But they did come in. And just to note: It was great to be in the museum in January because the crowds were limited.
