Mikumi National Park is grass land national park with very good visibility. There is 100% to see the following animals:- Elephant, Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra, Antelope, Hippopotamus, Crocodile, Baboon and Birds. There is 90 percent to see Lion and 75 percent to see Leopard.

What To Expect

Mikumi National Park

We will pick up our visitors at their respective hotel anywhere in Zanzibar at 05:00 AM. Will have a 1 hour transfer to Karume International Airport, we will reach one hour before departure in the morning and depart at 07:15 AM to Mikumi, we reach at 08:15 AM at Mikumi Airstrip. We will off-board the Airplane and onboard the 4X4 Jeep and start our Mikumi Safari Adventure game drive from 08:30 Am in the morning to 03:30 PM or 04:30 PM evening time. Our guests will experience the wildlife nature of Mikumi National Park. They will see wild animals like lion, elephant, zebra, giraffe, antelope, buffalo, crocodile, hippopotamus, baboon, a wide variety of birds. Also not to forget we will see different tree species at the Mikumi National Park. Then we go back to Mikumi Airstrip and depart by 03:30 / 04:30 back to Zanzibar. We then reach Karume International Airport at 05:30. After arrival and pass through Airport inspection we take a car transfer and reach hotel 07:00 PM.

The experience from beginning to end was amazing. We were kicked up at the time we were instructed, driven to the airport, and was greeted by guides at the terminal who walked us through the process and provided airline tickets. The Pelican 13 seat plane was a smooth take off and landing. We met Frank, our Safari tour guide, who was knowledgeable, professional, and an awesome guide. The lunch provided was completely unexpected but welcomed. The entire safari experience was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend!

We had such a great time! Our hosts were so nice and knowledgeable. We saw at least 12 different animal, including lions, which was unusual in the dry season. Afterwards, we had lunch and everyone was so nice! One of the ladies in our group had her birthday that day and they sang happy birthday to her and gave us champagne to celebrate. It truly was an awesome experience.

Great experience and our tour guides were amazing. We saw giraffes, lions, hippos, antelopes, elephants, wildebeest, and the birds were beautiful.

An awesome once of a lifetime experience! We saw zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions and their cubs. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and went out of his way to be sure that we saw the animals. I would highly recommend this tour!
