Departing Queenstown and hugging the shores of Lake Wakatipu, the highway brings you along the rugged but beautiful Devil's Staircase and passed stunning mountain ranges to southern rural heartland. After passing through deer, cattle and sheep farming landscape, you come to the beautiful town of Te Anau, the Gateway to Fiordland, for a refreshment break.

The coach makes a scheduled stop at Te Anau, the Gateway to Fiordland for an important rest break before journeying into the National Park. You can use this time to get your caffeine fix, stretch your legs, take a stroll to the lake or stock up on the last of connectivity as phone signal and WiFi is blissfully lost as you enter Fiordland.

5.00Great experience, our tour guide Ian stopped at the best stops along the way, and provided interesting and funny commentary throughout. Really enjoyed the day, definitely worth it!

5.00Great customer service after I booked the wrong date, no problem sorting it out. Scarlet (our guide and coach driver) picked us up on time and we were on our way. Scarlet was an excellent driver and guide, keeping us informed and entertained all the way from Queenstown to Milford, stopping along the way for photos of the amazing scenery. It had been raining a lot, so there were waterfalls EVERYWHERE, just stunning. Once we got to Milford the transfer to the boat cruise was seamless. Pure Milford's catamaran is modern and comfortable with plenty of spaces inside and out to take in all that Milford Sound has to offer. The tour and commentary on board was good and informative, I only wish we'd had Scarlet doing that too to make it more entertaining! The included picnic lunch filled the gap and limitless hot drinks on board was a bonus. Pure Milford is highly recommended. Thank you for making our day a memorable one.

5.00Great bus driver that picked us up from several locations. The toughest part is to find all day parking in Queenstown. Make sure you go early it may take a while to find a spot! Our driver was very efficient in hauling that big tour bus along the route all the while explained in great details about the land and its habitats. He make great photo stops and coffee stops along the way. Our captain for the cruise was also very knowledgeable about Milford Sound and humorous too. He made the cruise much more enjoyable! Highly recommend Pure Milford.

5.00Such a fun day! Zoe was our guide, and she was an absolute dream. She mingled historical facts about the region with an authentic and at times slightly unhinged sense of humor which had our whole van in stitches as we took in the breathtaking scenery. Thank you Cheeky Kiwi and Zoe for an amazing experience!

5.00Truly memorable but we were very lucky with the weather and it was amazing to see the scenery and colours and flora and wildlife. Scarlet our driver and guide was fantastic. She was so knowledgable and interesting. Layer up! The day went from cold to warm throughout. Take water but there are plenty of stops - one long and a few short ones.

5.00A must do while in Queenstown. Amazing views from start to finish. Great opportunities for for photos during sight seeing stops. Food on board the cruise was really good. The tour guide was really informative and friendly. It was a memorable day all round.
