Departing Queenstown and hugging the shores of Lake Wakatipu, the highway brings you along the rugged but beautiful Devil's Staircase and passed stunning mountain ranges to southern rural heartland. After passing through deer, cattle and sheep farming landscape, you come to the beautiful town of Te Anau, the Gateway to Fiordland, for a refreshment break.

The coach makes a scheduled stop at Te Anau, the Gateway to Fiordland for an important rest break before journeying into the National Park. You can use this time to get your caffeine fix, stretch your legs, take a stroll to the lake or stock up on the last of connectivity as phone signal and WiFi is blissfully lost as you enter Fiordland.

3.00Unfortunately we were not able to tour on Friday because we were stuck in Auckland due to flight cancellations and tour company will not refund due to their cancellation policy so we lost the money

5.00The trip was brilliant overall great driver full of local information to share. Beautiful scenery and great weather. Food was good on the cruise My only suggestion would be for a longer midway stop

5.00Wonderful coach trip, with a number of great stops along the way to Milford Sound. The coach driver/tour guide Camillo was outstanding and provided narrative about all the places we visited. The 2 hour cruise on Milford Sound was also most excellent, with lots of great views and engaging commentary.

5.00A fantastic day trip. Our driver turned what could have been a long journey into an interesting tour, and we learned a lot about the area. He was so incredibly knowledgable and drove brilliantly, he was absolutely faultless. Milford sound was of course epic, but the whole day was pretty good and we really enjoyed the trip.

5.00We were visiting New Zealand for our Honeymoon and Milford Sound was on our bucket list. We got the recommendation via Jucy as we were travelling the country in the Jucy Condo. After 4 days of travel from Auckland, a coach ride was a welcome relief! We were lucky to have Brendan as our guide who gave us plenty of laughs and a great tour to and from Milford. The coach was clean and modern, the glass roof was a great feature and allowed us to view the towering snow capped peaks above. All of the staff on the boat were lovely and helpful, the views were unforgettable. It is incredibly difficult to put into words how breathtaking that part of the world is. The only thing I will be a look about was that the only pies included in our lunch were either chicken or vegetarian. First World problems, I know. I ended up buying a chunky beef and bacon one and it was delicious. If we weren't on a budget, I would have loved to have taken the option of a helicopter ride up onto the glacier, if you have that opportunity, I highly recommend, although the bus drive gives you plenty to see and do.

3.00This was interesting. Milford Sound was absolutely outstanding! The issue was the bus. It was had no AC or heat on the way up so all the windows were fogged so when the driver was explaining see this see that, we could see nothing. On the way back, we were not taken back to our starting point. We were not told we were not going be taken back to our starting. Point. The driver said she was about to “time out.” Sorry Scarlet, you were a thumbs down for us.

5.00Great tour! Highly recommended. Scarlett was punctual and an excellent driver. She was a wealth of information. The boat was great also. We saw so many waterfalls around the Milford Sound. It was an awesome experience.
