Enjoy complimentary lunch before joining the crew for a dance in the spray of pure glacial melt as the boat noses close Stirling Falls for a refreshing finale!

The coach makes a scheduled stop at Te Anau, the Gateway to Fiordland for an important rest break before journeying into the National Park. You can use this time to get your caffeine fix, stretch your legs, take a stroll to the lake or stock up on the last of connectivity as phone signal and WiFi is blissfully lost as you enter Fiordland.

The bus came a little bit late to pick us up. But Robin, our driver was very nice, accommodating, funny, witty and very informative about NZ eco system and history.

Whilst it is a very long day it’s one worth doing. Robyn was our tour guide and driver and was extremely knowledgeable and friendly making it a memorable experience. The photos you take on the tour won’t do it justice. A must do for any visitor to the region.

Great travel, we saw many wild lifes. But need to mention that the travel from Queenstown to Milford Sound took a very long time, so some people might feel tired on the way.

Absolutely amazing experience visiting Milford Sound with our guide, Sebastien. The day started early from Queenstown, but the journey itself became part of the experience thanks to the informative and entertaining commentary along the way to Te Anau, where we stopped for breakfast and a short break. From there, the scenery only became more spectacular. Sebastien made several well-timed stops for sightseeing and photos while sharing interesting facts and local history throughout the drive. Arriving at Milford Sound on a clear blue-sky day was something truly unforgettable. The views were breathtaking and honestly unlike anything else we’ve seen anywhere in the world. The cruise itself was fantastic, lasting around two hours, with a nice lunch included as part of the package. Seeing the waterfalls, mountains, and wildlife up close made the whole trip feel surreal. We came away with hundreds of photos and memories that we’ll be talking about for years. It’s definitely a long day if you’re travelling from Queenstown, and understandably the return trip was quieter with most people relaxing or napping after such a big day. There was one comfort stop on the way back, which was perfectly fine for us after everything we had experienced. Overall, this trip exceeded our expectations in every way. We were lucky to have perfect weather, but the organisation, scenery, and overall experience made this one of the highlights of our time in the South Island. Highly recommended.

The glass ceiling on the bus is such a nice touch to this experience so you can see the mountains along the drive. I sometimes get car sick on long drives but Debbie was a great driver. We had a few stops along the way to Milford Sound that were super cool! And the cruise was a blast! It rained on and off so just be prepared :) I’d recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing Milford Sound.
