The ferry ride was nice and smooth, got to see a lot of the fiords, also having the boat being taken up to the water falls and getting soaked was class. Loads of waterfalls and got to see some seals up close. Overall, good value for money.

Drove to Milford Sound (3.5hrs) and loved our pre booked cruise through Fiordland. Fiord is derived from Scandinavian word Fjord which means glacier valley. Easily the most memorable experience of the trip with sheer beauty of the landscape of mountains, glaciers, lakes and rivers finally merging into Tasman Sea. Parking at the terminal is not easy, recommend folks to plan to arrive early. Which the Viator did a good job informing about it.

We stayed in Te ANU and the 1pm cruise fitted in perfectly. We drove there directly, getting there early as car parking can be an issue. The cruise staff were friendly and the ship was good. The views are world class. I had 2 teen kids with me who also loved this.
