  The team was trying their best to deliver good experience as far as they can, yet, the passengers safety is top priority. The cruise part had cancelled due to the weather and they asked if you wanted to do the scenic flying part. After around 30min taking off, weather turned bad so we turned back. 100% refund. We got 1 hour fly with breath-taking view for free. And nice photo with the heli too 😊 Even though the trip was uncompleted, their service and the way the team handled the situation, it was very professional and I will still choose them my next trip for sure.

  The weather didn’t play ball unfortunately during our time in Queenstown. The company called us the day before and offered an alternative solution of a scenic flight to Milford which we took. The captain Luke was clear that we were going to try and get to Milford but the weather was very changeable and unfortunately it became obvious after about 20 mins in the mountains the planes were all turning back. Luke then took us on a great sightseeing tour to some other areas - it was still amazing scenery. Before we landed Luke said that base were going to give us a FULL refund as we didn’t see Milford. We couldn’t believe it as we got an amazing hour long flight which the family hugely enjoyed. If you are unsure about this trip or booking with this company don’t be. They exceeded our expectations and a lot of businesses could take lessons from this level of customer service. and suggested the best chance of a flight

  I decided a 10 hour round trip drive to Milford sound wasn’t going to be fun for me, so I opted to fly there and back. I am SO happy I did! Josh told us all about the landscape as we flew over it and pointed out places films in Lord of the Rings. We flew right over the Smoky Mountains! The landing at Milford sound was incredibly beautiful as we descended through the mountains. The flight only took 25 minutes…so much better than a 5 hour drive. On the way back, I opted for the additional fly over of Mt Aspiring, so I switched pilots to Lily. A girl pilot! She was excellent as we flew over the mountains and dodged clouds to find the bashful Mt Aspiring. We also did some other glacier hunting along the way. On the way back, she pointed out more of the landscape and more filming areas. I got soooo many great photos and videos from this tour and I’m so grateful to True South Flights for a wonderful experience that didn’t require waking up at 6am or getting home after dark.   Amazing experience, the best we had in 4 weeks travelling in NZ. Our pilot, Captain Dan, was so informative as we took in the amazing views on the way to Milford Sound in our tiny plane. The cruise was great, with lots of commentary about what we were seeing. It was a bonus to get free tea or coffee and we could eat our own packed lunch and move around between decks without it feeling crowded. The flight back was equally spectacular and the whole trip was well worth the money.

  Excellent and very well organised. Our trip was booked for Sunday, but they called and asked if we could fly on Saturday as the weather may be bad on Sunday. All aspects of the trip were excellent. Mike, our pilot, gave a great commentary during the flight, and it is an incredible way to see the Southern Alps and Milford Sound. Coming back, we took a different route, which was a great bonus. Thanks to Mike and the True South team. To be honest, after the flight, the cruise was a bit of an anticlimax!

  10/10 experience! Milford sounds was stunning and what a way to experience it all! The team at True South were spectacular. Our original tour was disrupted due to some unfortunate weather conditions but the team were dedicated and flexible with rearranging our times to get us up in the sky! Would recommend to anyone visiting Queenstown

  The flights were absolutely breathtaking and easily the highlight of our trip so far. Well worth the price - no question. Pilot Michael was fantastic in making sure we were all briefed and comfortable and gave great commentary along the way. The cruise was also lovely (quick note FYI: difficult to get food on the boat if you don’t prebook noting this is not True South’s responsibility as the cruise is a different company)

  Best way to experience Milford Sound from Queenstown. Seeing the mountains from above and descending into the sound via plane was unforgettable. I'm so glad we didn't drive all that way. Great crew and super pilot. And the boat cruise was just the right amount of time.
