  The bus trip from Queenstown to Milford Sound is approx. 6 hours each way but we had a fantastic trip with Brandon. He is such a lovely guy and his enthusiasm and knowledge made the journey there and back fly by. On the cruise, we had miserable weather on the evening we set out which meant we couldn’t kayak which was a bit of a shame but it made for a great experience the next morning when the rain cleared and the water was running off the mountains. One small point is that it would have been great to get a bit more info from the nature talk on the boat in the evening.

  We got on the boat at about 4:30 pm and we were off by 9am the next morning. For $800usd for 2 of us; I felt it was a ripoff. The scenery in the sound is beautiful but a day cruise would have been sufficient. The crew was young and a bit immature at handling the entire bit.

  A great experience seeing Milford Sound in the early morning. Well worth the drive and staying overnight. The staff onboard were great and the good weather we had was a treat.

  If you want to do milford sound cruise this is the one to do. Great staff food and scenery. What's not to love. Had the sound to ourselves.

  Well-planned cruise providing up close views of the fiords and its wildlife. We especially enjoyed the tender boat excursion and the guide’s knowledge of the area. The numerous flights of stairs are challenging for those with leg disabilities.

  This overnight cruise was exceptional. We were able to see the penguins and tons of waterfalls from the cliffs. The stateroom was excellent and clean. The staff and food was plentiful. Great excursion for a family or couples.

  Great experience, it gets you see the sound without myriad of other boats and the constant drone if sight seeing aircraft. The ship was first rate with excellent food, cabin and most of all the brilliant crew. Lucky to see dolphin,penguin and seal on our trip. The lady (her name escapes me) who commentated on the wildlife and history was first rate. All in all one of if not the highlight of our holiday so far.

  Pick-up was super easy, and Craig, our driver, storyteller, educator, and entertainer, was fantastic. From the very first moment, we felt completely comfortable. He shared a wealth of knowledge about New Zealand’s history, the areas we passed through, and fun little facts about the country. Arrival and departure were all on time, which made the trip very smooth. The crew on the cruise was attentive and friendly. Sarah, our guide during the Milford Sound tour, was full of charm and sprinkled a little humor into every story, making the experience even more enjoyable. The food was decent, and our cabin was clean, although the carpet could use a little updating. The activities offered were fun and rewarding—we spotted crested penguins, watched fur seals hunting, and even saw the aurora lights! Of course, the towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls of Milford Sound are absolutely breathtaking—photos can barely capture their true beauty. All in all, a wonderful experience that we’d highly recommend

  What an unforgettable experience, the staff were so friendly and were full of information and history of Milford Sounds. The food was plentiful, and there was plenty of room to move around on the ship. The views were absolutely breathtaking it is something you will never forget. We reluctantly went out on the tender boat for a trip, once the ship was anchored. Our guide was a wealth of information. It was certainly worth the trip. You definitely need to have some wet weather gear and warm clothing.
