  These comments reflect the thoughts of the three of us travelling together. Firstly our driver, Adrian, was amazing. He was very professional and communicated clearly. He had a personable approach and imparted information in an interesting and knowledgeable way. His driving was excellent and we all felt very safe. It was great tour and the boat trip was amazing. The whole day flowed very well. Relaxed, fun and lots of laughs. We highly recommend anyone think of using tours to do so.

  We enjoyed an excellent day trip to Milford Sound, with Tommy our friendly driver and guide, providing us with an interesting and detailed commentary, whilst driving in a safe and professional manner. It is a long journey from Queenstown but, in a modern Mercedes sprinter van that has plenty of leg-room and space for everyone (think business class travel), and regular stops for leg-stretch/toilets/coffee/scenery, the time did pass much quicker than we had expected. Tommy knew the best scenic spots along the route, and skillfully avoided the bigger coaches most of the time. Once at Milford Sound the administration was perfect and we had a lovely two hour boat trip on the Sound. Even the long trip back to Queenstown was relaxed and comfortable. In summary, although a long day (we were picked up at 0655 and was dropped off back at our hotel at 1930), Milford Sound is an iconic experience not to be missed and we were so pleased we booked with Luxe Travel, who I would heartily recommend.

  Brilliant! An amazing experience and a team executing perfectly. We had initially planned to drive to Milford Sound ourselves. That looked awful given the timing and traffic. Booking a stop in Te Anau was appealing but limited accommodations stopped us from piecing it together. Then we saw the Luxe Tours promo. A total package, and a route off the beaten track. Perfect! We had excellent experiences across the board - from check in & luggage handling, the cruises, lunch & the farm show, to travel and accommodations. And don't forget Andreas and Murray, our drivers, guides, and hosts - they were wonderful in every way possible. Warm, welcoming, and informative, they provided information and commentary, plus uncrowded stops and catered to every need. Thanks guys! I've reviewed the Destination Hotel in Te Anau separately - loved it - but will say it's no surprise Luxe Tours teamed up with them. i can't imagine a better run tour than we had, and would recommend Luxe Tours to anyone.   If you have the chance to join the Luxe Tour to Milford Sound - do it! I went with two friends and we had a fantastic tour guide called Tommy. He was very knowledgeable and shared some great info on our way to Milford. The tour starts quite early and I think Tommy found the sweet spot between "cheerful" and "overly-enthusiatic" at that time of morning! He selected our little stops along the way according to the weather and how many other tour buses were out and about. Tommy also has a lot of contacts with the other tour related services around the area. He was happy and able to sort out a last minute flight for me from Milford Sound to Queenstown. Also worth a mention is the Luxe Tours vehicle; it was very comfortable and not over-crowded. It was a much better experience than the average bus or van!

• Amazing & Comfortable Ride to Milford Sound Tour

  Amazing! Milford Sound is a must see and this small group tour was the way to go. Its a long drive but Luxe tours made it enjoyable in a super comfortable Van with lots of leg room and space between seats. The driver was very knowledgeable about the history and natural wildlife of the area. We stopped many times a long the way to see scenic spots and for coffee/snacks and bathroom breaks. The cruise on the Milford Maiden was perfect - not too crowded. We had a bit of confusion because we booked through Tripadvisor - it wasn't clear that we needed to contact the tour operator if we wanted to pre-book lunch on the cruise. Tripadvisor should make this clear up front - the email portal that the tour operator has to use often sent us multiple emails and the notice to pre-book lunch was buried in the email somewhere. In the end Luxe tours was very accommodating when we called and said they could get our order in last minute. (Note - when we did receive the lunch menu it was very different than the lunches that Luxe Tours showed in their website video (burgers and fish and chips) the menu was box lunch sandwiches or meat-pies. They apologized and said the menu had recently changed and they need to update the website.) Ultimately we passed on pre-ordering lunch - but the selection on the cruise to buy was sufficient for us (sandwiches and beverages) and the staff on the Milford Maiden was really great.   Everything was spot on from the beginning with our guide Tommy. Full of knowledge about the area and really looked after us all day. Highly recommend as the way to see Milford sound.

  We had an amazing experience on the Queenstown to Milford Sound day tour with Luxe Tours! From start to finish, everything was well organised and comfortable, allowing us to relax and enjoy the incredible scenery. A special mention to our guide, Adrian, who made the trip even better with his friendly personality and very informative commentary throughout the journey. He shared so many interesting facts and stories about the region, which really added to the experience and helped us appreciate the beauty and history of the area. The drive itself was stunning, and Adrian made sure everyone felt welcome and looked after along the way.   Such an amazing day! Our guide Tom was very knowledgeable and pointed out many cool things along our way. The drive itself was incredibly scenic and Milford Sound was unbelievable! It was great being part of a smaller group and having our own tables on the cruise. 10/10 recommend!
