We stop in the beautiful township of Te Anau for an extended break of 30-mins. We stop at a lakefront cafe so you can get a coffee/snack, use the bathroom and explore the stunning lakefront with mountain views.

Eglinton Valley offers a stunning contrast of green, native bush covered mountains, against the foreground of tan fields. Guests will have a chance to explore the long lush fields. Beautiful at any time of the year.

5.00Absolutely amazing day at Milford Sound from Queenstown. Tommy our guide was excellent (the best guide we had during our 3 weeks in NZ) - so much knowledge and a really nice guy who made sure everyone was okay throughout the whole trip. The minibus was so comfortable and spacious and as it was a very wet day Tommy adjusted the stops to make sure we made the most of the spectacular effect the rainfall was having on the waterfalls. We were concerned about how long the day would be and the amount of travel time but we shouldn’t have worried - the day flew by. Would definitely recommend a tour rather than a self drive and you’d struggle to find anyone better than Luxe Tours. A very well deserved 10/10.

5.00From the time Tommy picked us up right in front of our Queenstown accommodation, everything was wonderful about the day. The van was so much more comfortable than a bus; traveling with a small group (max 13, 9 the day we went) was great. There were plenty of scenic stops on the way to Milford, and Tommy was responsive to needs/desires of the group. It is a long day, but it goes by too quickly. The Milford Sound cruise itself was overwhelmingly awesome - so much to look at and so many waterfalls! We highly recommend Luxe Tours if you are going to Milford Sound from Queenstown!

5.00Our guide was PATIENT and exhaustive. E would try to pick up and explain every single thing he deemed interesting to ease the trip to Milford sound, which is admittedly quite long (if you take in account touristics stops, toilet stop and everything). The cruise was really good. Milford sound is beautiful, and part of the reason why a piece of my heart will stay in New Zealand. If you can't move yourself, it is definitely worth the money.

5.00My family booked a tour from Queenstown to Milford Sound with Luxe Tours for our trip across New Zealand. From the moment we were greeted by our guide, Tommy, we knew we were in for a great day. Tommy was very enthusiastic and had a great knowledge of the locality, including providing recommendations for local activities and restaurants. We were picked up at a location very close to our accomodation at 7:10am and arrived back at the same location around 7:45pm. We also really appreciated the offer to be dropped off in the town centre which is great for anyone wanting to head to a restaurant straight after the tour. The van was extremely clean and comfortable and was easy to travel in for the entire day. We stopped at various locations along the way to Milford Sound, including for coffee and toilet breaks and seeing various sights before the boat trip. We appreciated having the smaller group of only around 10 people (our group had 9), so we could really learn about the places we were going to our guides knowledge of the area meant we could stop at spots without larger tour groups. We were lucky enough to see 3 Keas on the trip to so that was bonus. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a tour with Luxe Tours to any of my family and friends, or anyone up for an adventure .

5.00Our Milford Sound Luxe Tour was absolutely wonderful. Our host, Adrian, was professional, knowledgeable, and made the entire journey both enjoyable and informative. He shared fascinating insights about the history, geology, and wildlife of the area, which really added depth to the experience. Everything was well-organized from start to finish, and Adrian’s friendly manner made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. The scenery was breathtaking, and having a guide like Adrian made it even more memorable. Highly recommend Luxe tours to anyone visiting Milford Sound

5.00Wow what a great day. Today we did the Queenstown to Milford Sound and cruse with Luxe Tours. Our guide was Tommy and he was extremely knowledgeable, friendly & obliging to all requests. Even the rain and the long drive didn't put a dampen on the experience. My wife, daughter and myself had a fantastic day. Can't recommend this company more highly.

5.00This is a big day trip but Luxe Tours fo above and beyond to ensure everyone is happy and comfortable. We had a fantastic time and would not hesitate to recommend this tour. We chose this one in particular for the smaller group and I think it proved to be the best choice.

5.00What an amazing day from start to finish, our tour guide Tommy made the trip with my family and unforgettable experience. He was incredibly friendly, professional and had so much knowledge about the area and history. As a taller person, I really appreciated the extra legroom on the bus it made the ride so much more comfortable. The boat trip around the Sound was amazing and perfectly timed, and the helicopter ride back to Queenstown was just the icing on the cake. We created some fantastic memories on this trip and will definitely be back. If you’re planning to visit Milford Sound, choose Luce tours, you’ll have an amazing safe time.
This experience set a high bar for the rest of our trip!

5.00Of all the trips we had in our 3-week visit to New Zealand, this tour was our favorite. Tommy was our guide and he was AMAZING! He knew so much about everything and it was clear that he watches a lot of documentaries and listens to podcasts to continue learning (not that he needs it). He knew the right places to stop for breaks and the right times (when it would be less crowded). The vans are very comfortable and we appreciated the extra leg room. It was raining for a good part of the day — but that is what you want because that is when you can see the thousands of waterfalls in Milford Sound. We are so glad we did this, and so grateful to Tommy and Luxe Tours for giving us such a phenomenal experience. It set an impossible high bar for the rest of our trip!
