Miravalles Volcano Tour is perfect for families and friends looking to recharge energy surrounded by amazing flora, fauna, and volcanic landscapes. You will observe the burners of Miravalles Volcano’s active crater with volcanic mud pots which temperatures ranging from 40 degrees to 100 degrees Celsius. You will be able to watch closely the smoke, hot stones and crystallized sulfur among other scenic beauties. Enjoy the mud baths in our outdoor/natural spa as well as 3 thermal pools where you can take advantage of the wealth of properties that these waters of volcanic origin have.

Miravalles Volcano
Drive more or less 2 hr to this secret place ; is found in the foothills of the Miravalles Volcano, here you can enjoy a unique experience of walking inside an active crater! You can observe pools of hot water, pots of bubbling mud, fumaroles and sulphur deposits. Las Hornillas attracts national and international tourist. This is the only place in Costa Rica where visitors can walk inside an active crater, see and feel the steam escaping from the boilers below. You can also sauna,hot spring and mud baths VISIT LLANOS DEL CORTEZ WATERFALLS IS NOT INCLUDED ON THE PACKAGE ( Extra charge of $7 adults and $4 kids)

Great volcano exploring experience in Costa Rica!

5.00Had a great experience on this excursion! Our guide Rainer was a font of local knowledge and I found myself quoting things he told us throughout the rest of the trip. Because Rainer had us leave a bit earlier than most, we had the trails and waterfalls entirely to ourselves. We spotted a number of different bird species, but the highlight was seeing a Keel-billed toucan! The mud baths, sauna room and hot springs were very relaxing and felt good on the skin. Lunch was fantastic - we enjoyed the traditional Costa Rican casado and between my wife and I we had both chicken and pork, which were delicious. As a bonus, Rainer spotted a sloth in the trees right outside where we were eating! Overall, the trip was well worth the price of admission.

5.00This trip was AMAZING!! Rainer is really personable and knowledgeable about all things Costa Rica! It was such a great half day trip and well worth it. The waterfall was beautiful and the mud bath was so much fun! You end the trip with a delicious lunch! Well worth it! Bring a change of clothes for the car ride home.

5.00We had a fantastic time! Rainer was our tour guide and he was very informative, did not rush us, and gave us a very memorable experience. From start to finish we had so much fun. Would recommend to do the mud bath was an experience of a life time including both waterfalls. The hanging bridge is definitely worth it.

5.00Raynor (not sure if this is how he spells it) was wonderful. Very knowledgeable. He showed us a lot of plants in the area. He took pictures/videos for us. He made sure we were happy every step of the way. I would highly recommend him. We had an amazing day!

5.00Wonderful tour, we wanted to see the rainforest and this tour was perfect for the intentions we were looking for, the guide was very kind and patient with my children, the view of the volcano was incredible, we enjoyed relaxing in the hot springs and visiting the falls very beautiful. perfect tour for families with children

5.00Carlos was a fantastic Tour Guide. He told us some of Costa Rica’s history on the drive to the waterfalls and Miraval Volcano. He was enthusiastic and fun to talk with as he showed us the beautiful sights. Well worth the trip to see the varied flora & fauna in The Guanacaste Province!

5.00This was one of three tours with did with this company. Highly recommend. Carlos was our guide for a great day. He was professional and funny and very informative about Costa Rica. It's a great tour and I recommend you do the "extra" waterfall (Cortez) for swimming. Thank you Carlos! Even my teens had a blast
