  Operator did not communicate and turned up 1.5 hours late. As a result our trip was significantly changed and we didn’t get to see the dolphins in mbemba. We only went to kuza and salaam. Do not trust these guys.

  Terrifying experience. Despite the bad weather conditions the excursion was not postponed. We stayed 3 hours at the mercy of the waves and the rain because the boat had lost course and was unable to find it because it sailed on sight (they did not have a compass). They didn't even have a chance to launch an SOS. We were forced to wait (3 hours), in the middle of the waves, for the blizzard to pass. We feared for our lives. EXPERIENCE NOT TO BE DONE.

• Selling this as a snorkeling trip is totally misleading - wish I had read the reviews before

  On the plus side: - nice tour guide - comfortable car - lunch at The Rock (highly recommended) On the minus side: - spent 80% of the excursion in a car - nightmare scenario when our boat was one of about 35-40 boats, roaring and emitting exhaust gas while chasing down a swarm of dolphines - underwater world in the proximity of Mnemba is to a large extent destroyed. Snorkeling was not worth it

  We had an excellent tour with Haroub as our guide and Ally as our driver. The Dolphin swimming was packed with about 50 other boats, but we expected that ahead of time. Kate was able to get within 5 feet of a dolphin. The reef swimming had a lot of colorful fish. Salaam cave with the turtle swimming was amazing. The Kazu cave was also a good experience. We had a good meal at the rock restaurant. We would recommend this tour

  Well worth it. Best dolphin watching I have ever done.The Rock restaurante is amazing. Best seafood we have ever had & reasonably priced. Would recommend everyone to try it.

  I have booked this hotel and cancelled during the allowed cancellation period. This was more than one month ago and the hotel did not make the refund of the charged amount! Unaceptable!

  Absolutely wonderful experience, jam packed day, tour guide Juma was just great! Started with a drive from our resort in Kiwengwa to Mnemba island at 8am (circa 25 mins) we took our own snorkel masks but you could buy them from local vendors when you arrived at the beach. Lots of boats ready to depart (think of the beach like a busy bus station!), departed and saw a pod of dolphins within first 15 minutes. It is very busy lots of boats all swarming them which is a bit overwhelming. Then went on to snorkel at a nice reef (the sea is pretty choppy here and no life jacket was provided for our 11 year old so that was a negative), plus you don’t actually stop on the island which we thought we would so that’s a bit misleading. Next a drive to the south of the island took 2 hours, again we didn’t know this so that was a bit disappointing but we could’ve researched it (I assumed we’d be on a boat down to the south of the island) Visited the beach where the rock restaurant is, then we went to our second snorkel spot a much calmer area, visited starfish beach (amazing!!) then stopped at a beautiful clear lagoon. Our lunch was booked for the rock at 2pm (price not included) the meal was lovely but a lot for what it was but you’re paying for the experience. We left the restaurant at 3:45 and decided to head back to our hotel as we were pretty tired so skipped the kuza cave and pnemba beach part

  Our guide was fantastic they do whatever they can to make sure you get good time with the dolphins i got to swim with about 6 different pods they get you as close as possible and do whatever they can to give you the best experience possible throughout the excursion even in the car he was very informative and very kind HIGHLY recommend!!
