5.00Booked thru Vacations to Go for a trip on Sky Princess. What a FABULOUS choice! Our guide was friendly & knowledgeable sharing much of the rich history of Puerto Rico as we walked slowly toward our “hands on” Culinary lunch. We learned to make our own authentic Mojitos then a couple of delicious traditional Puerto Rican dishes. A thoroughly delightful, informative tour. Best one of the entire cruise!

5.00This guided history tour and mofongo and mojito making class was absolutely amazing. I traveled with my husband and my parents on a cruise and during our stop in San Juan we participated in this tour. Our tour guide Sarah was truly spectacular. She was so friendly and personable and went out of her way to make sure we had an amazing time. Communication with the company was also top notch. Michele stayed in communication with me leading up to the ships arrival and they even called me the morning of the tour to let me know where to meet them. Thank you again!

4.00Very good experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Expect to do some walking and bring water with you as it may be difficult to purchase along the route. We also enjoyed the mofongo demonstration and the mojito!

5.00My husband and I took this tour during our Thanksgiving cruise onboard the MSC Seashore. My husband felt like it would be the perfect tour to connect me with 50% of my heritage. The tour was fantastic! I came away with a little bit of knowledge about the history…and a whole lot of new understanding for many of the things I just “seem to love”. Food has always been a big part of me…and learning to create one of my favorite dishes took me back to days in the kitchen with my grandmother and great grandma, mami peppa. The detour to Spicy Caribee for a Pilón and Tostonera were perfect. For the food and drink demonstration you are taught the history behind mojitos and provided the recipe. Then taught how Sorullos are made and given a recipe and sample. Last but certainly not least, was the Mofongo. You are given a few recipes for that as well. It was such an inspiring adventure that I returned to the ship inspired to paint.

5.00The tour itself was top notch. Julia was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of San Juan and Old San Juan. Her perspective was intriguing and offered unique insight on lives of Puerto Rican people yesterday and today. She was personal, funny, and very proud of her heritage. Following the tour, Frances made the food and drink portion of the tour interesting and engaging. The food came out rather quickly and there was a surprise appetizer. The mofongos and mojitos were absolutely delicious. My only problem was that booking was a little tricky because my original date was cancelled, which would have been much more convenient for me.

5.00We booked this excursion during one of the port days on our Royal Carribean Cruise! We were really unsure what to expect but it blew us out of the water!!! You start by meeting your guide right off of the ship, it was extremely organized and well managed. Then we went on a walking tour of old San Juan where the guide provided us with amazing history! I will warn, it is about an hour and a half to two hours of walking so make sure you bring water! With that being said, we never walked for more that 5 minutes at a time so it was not strenuous. Once we got to the end of the walking tour my husband and I were curious if it could get any better, and it did!!! We went into the cutest building (which thankfully was blasting AC) where we met Carmen, the woman who ran the second part of our tour! Carmen walked us through the significance, history, and “how to” of the mojito and Mofongo. We were each given one mojito which was delicious (you can also purchase more for only $7!!)!!! Then we were given the cooked ingredients for the Mofongo and we put it all together! It was so delicious! They also provided us with recipes so we can make it all home! To sum up, this is a MUST DO excursion! It is the most worth it money we have ever spent! We truly felt like it was a great bang for your buck because of how much you get out of it! Thank you to all of the amazing workers for making this excursion so fun! We will keep an eye out for these in the future!

5.00I can not recommend this tour enough! Our tour guide was knowledgeable and engaging. The city was beautiful (though warm so be sure to dress accordingly). The crowning achievement of the tour was the mojito and mofongo!! The head chef was lovely and so much fun. The food was beyond incredible. This is a perfect tour for a crash course in PR culture!!

5.00The guide was knowledgeable and energetic about the history of the island. The Mofongo making demo and tasting was great and filling. We only got one mojito which was tasty but would have loved another with the meal itself. We requested water while eating. Overall it was a good tour with lots of walking up and down cobblestone hill streets. Be ready with walking shoes!

1.00We went on this tour last week. Totally thought it would be a good experience because of the recommendation from the cruise ship. But it wasn't. My wife and I were excited to try the mofongo and mojito. The mojito was too sweet and all we did with the mofongo was to mash it in a bowl. Seems like the staff didn't know what they were doing. Also the restrooms were dirty and so was the floor. Next time we'll just wonder around by ourselves
