Hop on an open-air safari truck and immerse yourself in the Dominican countryside. We begin our day with a visit to Monkey Land. In the tropical jungle, listen to the sounds of nature while keeping an eye out for the cute little squirrel monkeys that abound in this natural environment. Trained staff give you a plate of fruit that you can offer to the monkeys. These cheeky, friendly creatures love shiny objects — hang on to your belongings or they will relieve you of loose items for later play. This is an awesome opportunity to get up close with these lovable, fun little monkeys. Head to a typical countryside home, where time has stood still. 5.00They were super helpful with my father who could not continue due to his age. They put him in a wheelchair so he could experience the park and he had a great time. Julian, Jose Antonio and the crew went to a lot of trouble to wheel him around and they were so professional. The monkeys are adorable chaos gremlins who will climb on anyone and everyone the see. The coffee and chocolate they make are amazing. Jose Antonio is an actual wizard who can squeeze a bus anywhere with the power of magic.

5.00What a great and fun experience. The monkeys were adorable and very friendly. They will climb all over you, but are very gentle. We had an excellent tour guide (Matias) and driver (Juan). It was very informative as well. In terms of mobility requirements, there was some uneven ground, but folks with walking devices did fine, just needed to watch their steps. You had to climb in and out of a van as well (which I do not recall seeing a wheelchair lift, so perhaps would not be suitable if there is a wheelchair). To those commenting there was not enough time, I though the time with the monkeys was appropriate. Perhaps they took comments under advisement. We also saw a typical home, saw a coffee demonstration as well as the demonstration of the local drink. Finally, stopped at an artisian shop and saw a bit of stone carving and cigar making demos- with opportunity to shop, of course. We booked this through a Holland Cruise Excursioin. I would 100% recommend.

5.00Junior, Jose, and Miguel helped make sure that our family had a wonderful experience. Jose did a great job driving, Junior with very entertaining, with lots of good information and a good sense of humor. Miguel showed a great love for the monkeys. It was very informative and did a great job making sure we had a good experience interacting with them. Highly recommend it would definitely do again.

5.00This was part of our Royal Carribbean Cruise. We booked the Puerto Plata city tour and this Monkeyland tour. After the city tour, we took our bus in a 30 minute drive to Monkeyland location. Miguel was a really good Trainer. We were all seated on a bench and the trainer would come by each family seated and have our hands stretch out and put nuts or fruits on our hands. Then the Monkeys would come jumping on you and eat from your hands, head. The trainer would do that about four times with pictures being taken for each family.

5.00Miguel was a great monkey trainer! He made sure everyone had time with the monkeys! Junior was a great tour guide and showed us lots of great things in Dominican Republic and Jose was a great driver!

5.00The tour guides were very patient during the climb to the water fall. They waited for the people to catch their breath during the climb. Leo, our tour guide was VERY funny, very informative and made sure that we were safe all the way. I've seen that he wanted to be as punctual as possible. He was very professional. He made the experience a great one. The driver got us all there safely. The monkey experience was the best. It was an experience that I will never forget. Good job to all the guys. THANK YOU!!
