Sam Sharpe Square
Sam Sharpe Square is the town center where travelers will get to see historic buildings and monuments depicting the liberal movements of Samuel Sharpe, a slave who fought for the emancipation of all slaves in Jamaica in 1832. At Sam Sharpe Square, travelers will also get a chance to visit the Museum containing artifacts and pictures of olden days.
St James Parish Church
An historical eighteenth century Anglican Church built in 1774 but still operational today, will be pointed out by the tour guide. It sits along "Church street" in the city which is a street whos name was derived from the iconic Parish church.

5.00We absolutely loved our tour guide Kirk! We’ve gone around the world and have done city tours but nothing compared to this. Kirk was so informative and answered all our questions. He took us to all the spots we were interested in and places he wanted us to see where locals go. The one memorable thing I’ll never forget is when he drove us up into the mountains and shared a glimpse of his community and home. We got to meet his neighbors and see the view they have of the whole island. We got to see an ackee tree and he explained all the details about the fruit. We asked him to take us to a jerk hut and he took us to scotchies. We shared a beautiful lunch with him and got to know him. We loved him so much we asked for him to take us to the airport on our last day. We have also recommended other guests and I’m also going to recommending my friends to him. We loved the experience and we’re so sad to be leaving but we promise to come back and call on Kirk!
