The guide and the company for this tour were FABULOUS. The cruise itself was a bit meh. I had requested a 5pm pick-up to catch the sunset, but the guide messaged me and kept changing the time (4.40pm … 4.50pm … then at 5pm he was at the wrong hotel … and finally arrived to pick me up around 5.10pm). I was driven to the dhow harbor in a private car, arriving 15 minutes later. It turned out to be just 4 passengers plus my guide and the captain on the dhow … and we were off sailing about 5 minutes later. My guide (Habib) was fantastic, always looking out for his guests and making sure they had everything they needed, including answers to any questions … he was always smiling and always present (10 out of 5 stars for him!), which was very impressive. The “cruise” itself was a bit meh — it was 50 minutes long and we sailed out toward West Bay and then just sat there in the bay for a bit, waiting for the sunset………I guess it’s rare you’ll get a really good sunset in Qatar most days (not the fault of the cruise!), considering there aren’t really any clouds! But we did get to go out to the FIFA World Cup statue, which I had only seen from afar, so that was pretty cool! Almost like sailing around the Statue of Liberty in New York City. Awesome seeing so many boats out in the harbor at the same time, and the music definitely added to the vibe.

We got picked up and taking back to our hotel by Ezak for this tour. Really enjoyed the beautiful sunset cruise . Taking many memorable and gorgeous pictures. Highly recommended experience. Ezak was friendly, accommodating and taking good pictures for all of us on the boat.

We ordered the longer more expensive longer adventure on trip advisor specifically so we could hear commentary during the ride to and from the cruise and on the cruise itself since the captain provides no such commentary. Th driver picked us up 20 minutes late and took backstreets to take some woman to her hotel instead of driving by any sights on the way to the cruise and did the same thing with a different woman he took as a favor to his friend on the way back to our hotel. He spent the whole time on the boat looking at his phone providing no input on the skyline sights. Either walk or order an Uber to the dhow cruise and enjoy the cruise for 1/3 of what this tour cost!

The timing of the cruise being as the sun was setting and the lights of Doha coming on, was the real highlight. Meeting the appropriate boat among the many, proved a little difficult but was overcome. The boat, a genuine Dhow was sufficiently comfortable, with water provided. The sunset was beautiful and the bright lights of Doha startling. The guide could have given a more comprehensive description of what we were looking at, although his help in taking photographs rather than “selfies”, was appreciated. Other similar cruises appeared more lively however and may have been a better choice.

We opted for the hotel pickup. We were contacted the afternoon of our evening trip and were picked up on time. Taken straight to the boat for the trip. Nice 1 hour cruise around the bay with plenty of photos taken.

Beautiful sunset qnd view by the night when lights go on. You have to try it! We had a great guide sadiq and he is also photographer. He took the, best photos at sunset and by night! Really kind and joyful person

Habib us a one of the best guide. the dhow cruise was already beautiful, but this friendly attitude and professional made it made it even better he made us feel welcome, looked after every detail, and creadted a truly memorable experience.
