Most people begin the climb up Mount Batur from the village of Toya Bungkah. Fit trekkers should plan a minimum of two hours to reach the summit, although inadvertently taking the wrong path can increase the time required

Unexpected showers frequently pop up in Kintamani, making the paths up Mount Batur slippery and potentially dangerous. Trekkers should wear proper shoes as the shale becomes loose. The sharp volcanic rocks will make short work of sandals - and feet - if you hike without proper protection.

Mount Batur or Gunung Batur in the Kintamani region of Bali is an iconic, extremely most active volcano that draws tourists in with both beauty and promise of adventure. Rising to 5,633 feet, Mount Batur can be submitted by physically-fit hikers in around two hours. Climbing Mount Batur offers a rare opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable sunrise from the top of an active volcano. The views of Bali from the top are stunning. Part of Mount Batur's massive caldera is filled by Danau Batur, Bali's largest crater lake. A smaller stratovolcano juts out of the water 2,300 feet and frequently reminds the local villages that they are situated on top of a geological time bomb. Excellent views of Mount Batur can be photographed from the nearby village of Penelokan in Kintamani. Other small villages and settlements established around the rim of Mount Batur offer great vantage points and opportunities to explore the surrounding area.

We had the most fantastic experience and unforgettable time in Bali, thanks to Mr. Komang and Bali Bliss Tours. Our 9-day tour, including airport shuttle service, was amazing with such a personalized touch. Mr. Komang wasn’t just our guide. he became a true friend to us in Bali! He took wonderful photos of us throughout our journey, making sure we had memories to cherish. His knowledge of Balinese traditions and culture made every tour even more special. The trip was booked while I was in India. I had booked after reading about them through a couple of influencers good reviews. And they didn’t disappoint me. Right from the dates and the coordination (special thanks to Jero who knows his job really well) and accommodating the requests for sometimes improvised itineraries. I had some issue with securing the IDR currency for the trip and he helped secure it through PayPal without any issues. His driver - Giri - was on time and although the trip was longer from Sidemen he was on time and was really soft and awesome guy. A big shoutout to him. He’s a really kind and awesome person who knows a lot about Bali. Talk to him know more about Balinese culture. Even the trek was well defined and their guide was a nice person. Overall a very pleasant tour. Definitely recommend for Mount batur. Also a shoutout for their water activities combo. We did a parasailing, Jet Ski and scuba diving(changed to Sea walking on the fly) and it was good too. His driver/coordinator for water sports Hatim was a really fun and awesome guy. English may not be his strongest suite but his personality and colourful nature makes it a fun day ride with him.

Fantastic trip to the mountain - really nice view, and a different way to explore a Vulcan that is still active. Beautiful sunrise and trip back down to.

Very cooperative guide and driver made the trip so easy for us. Experienced guide and driver. The driver helped us to customize our rest of the trip too.

Took a mount batur trek with them on suggestion by someone. And I am so glad that I specially took them. Reason being the guide was very helpful, not just while trek but also in clicking photos, telling things. The tour was very much in budget as it also included the coffee plantation and rice field tour. The taxi driver who also was a guide was very friendly and nice.

We went to mount batur sunrise trekking via Bali bliss travels. The booking experience was seamless and Nyoman ensured everything was taken care of starting from the booking confirmation to private car for us to private guide for us to payment post the trekking experience Wayan, the driver was wonderful and ensured we reached the trekking point on time to get to the top 1 hr before sunrise. He was very helpful in suggesting what warungs to explore in Ubud, what local food to try, where to go for good spas, some good waterfalls to visit etc. He also took us to the hot springs, coffee plantation and rice fields after our trek. Very sweet person and 100% recommended Ari, the private guide was very helpful and patient during the whole trek. He ensured we got a private viewing of the sunrise away from the crowd. He also took us to see hot springs near the trek Thanks a lot Nyoman, Wayan and Ari for the wonderful experience

Bali was always on the top of our list and we decided to visit it this time. It wouldn't have been possible without Bali Bliss tours and our driver: Bagus Santika. He is a man with a smile and is so kind and helpful. We loved all our tours with him as he was very professional and at the same time modified our change in plans. Since we had young children with us, he took care of anything that we needed. Bagus: thank you for all your help and hospitality.
