  We had an wonderful experience hiking up Mount Batur for the sunset trek. Our guide, Ageng, was friendly, skilled and thoughtful throughout the entire journey. He made sure everyone felt safe on the climb, and prepared snacks for us at the top. The whole trip was very well organized from start to finish. A special mention goes to the transportation from our hotel to the mountain and back. Thank you to Sarwa for the safe and smooth ride. Even though we didn’t get to see the actual sunset due to the weather, the trip was still an unforgettable experience.

  We had an amazing time with our guide Yus and our driver Ketut. Yus took exceptional care of us throughout the entire hike, made us great food, showed us the temple on top of the mountain, and took epic photos! Ask for Yus as your guide!!

  Komang was a great guide. He was encouraging, allowed breaks, and allowed us to come down early since there were so many clouds we would not see sunset. He was friendly and carried food for us. If you do this hike make sure to have good shoes. Going up is physically hard as it is so steep. Coming down is hard because of all the loose rock. Beautiful hike!

  The Sunset hike was beautiful. The views on the way up are stunning, the sunset was beautiful and on the way down I was lucky and saw the super moon rise. Komang my guide was great, explaining local culture, history on the volcano, cooked snack in the heat from the volcano, took some great photos for me & assisted me on the hike down so I didn’t slide to much. A fantastic experience

  We had a great driver Gede who picked us up from the Villa in UBud. We started our adventure at the Mt Batur hot springs which great. Made gave us all the information and timings so we were not rushed. Gede then took us to the Mt Batur ATV and got set up. The ATV adventure through the Lava fields was a really unique experience. Was extremely cloudy and raining around the mountains so no sunset for us. Great experience. Gede then took us home through the rain, he did a great job getting us home safely.

  The entire experience was great. We did the sunset tour and had a personal guide, Alex, who was fun and knowledgeable. There were only three other couples/ families on the trail so that was a plus. The eggs and plantain cooked with steam on the top of the volcano was a nice touch. Alex also took some good photos of us to help capture our adventure. The drive to and from our hotel was also enjoyable with Erna who explained some things along the way.

  Great walk and guid would definitely recommend! Amazing views, everyone very friendly! So much fun, not a super easy walk by any means, very steep but so worth it, had a fabulous time!!

  Sunset tour was very good. Visited on October. Very peaceful and quiet at the peak. Guide was helpful, flexible and met our requirements.

  Trek up Mount Batur at Sunset is the best. There was just our private tour and 4 other people we saw going up to the top. If you do the tour at Sunrise there are around 500 people. Bring a long sleeve top as it's cool at the top. The trek was good but the transport and organisation was not. Our pick up times kept getting changed which meant we arranged to have lunch prior to getting picked up rather than on the tour. Then we were told the incorrect time of arriving back at the hotel and had to ring to cancel the dinner they had prepared for us on our return. The driver said she could stop at a restaurant on the way back otherwise we would not have anything to eat. Once we stopped and ordered she said her boss wanted an extra payment as this was extra time on top of the tour. I refused to pay as I thought we had been mislead.
