The booking process was seamless and our driver, Arya, contacted us a day before our trip to confirm our flight details. The packing list helped a lot too! The 3D2N trip was really well planned and we had an incredible time at the sites. Arya was always punctual and ensured that we reach the destination by the stipulated time. The guides and Arya were incredibly knowledgeable and patient, taking the time to answer all our questions thoroughly and even sharing detailed geographical insights about the surrounding areas of each tourist site. Overall, it was an eye-opening experience, made even better by the friendly guides and driver.

I booked a spontaneous tour to East Java 2 nights before my flight departure. I didn’t expect that I would really have the action come to live! Yayak, is my favourite tour guide that brought me along East Java through his expertise lens! He is very trustworthy, talented, passionate, an advocate to hiking, nature, knowing Java at the back of his finger tips. He is truly impressive when it comes to sharing of the knowledge with the places we visited (as attached in the caption of each photo below). I enjoyed every single moment of this tour (Madakaripura terjun, Gunung Bromo, Tengger Caldera, Gunung Ijen, Api Biru). There are many lessons I have learned from this enriched solo soul searching journey. Started out by immersing myself with the nature in Madakaripura by taking a motorbike ride to the terjun. Since I was on solo, the local guide drove all the way in front which was way closer to the entrance than normal tour people that would be dropped off. It was hella fun! Dipping myself in the refresh terjun without raincoat is the best recharging way with nature. Next, I stayed at Bromo Terrace. It was a very beautiful villa that I loved 🥰 it was so serene and unreal. Then midnight, I was taken by a 4WD to Gunung Bromo where we camped a secret spot to watch the sunrise. ( I respect my guide’s privacy which is why i did not post the spot’s location🤫) As I stargazed and had a hot cup of milo, it felt so warmth and nice with a hearty conversation with Yayak. He is a very deep, mature character that is very different from the average tour guide you will ever chat with. Moving on from the sunrise, we saw the sleeping princess mountain from afar, he shares mountain stories along the way. Towards Tenggar Caldera, we continued the 4WD to the sea of sand. There were many horses that you can ride but I personally believe that summiting to the crater on foot is more original. As I walk up to the top of the crater, I was greeted with the drumming of the volcano’s vibration. It was a beautiful experience especially when explained with Ganesha statue ritual, where Yayak shared. The Tenggerese people believes the Ganesha the protector calms the volcano's fiery power and keep the land fertile. Next, we moved to Grand Padis in Bondowoso. With several great princess naps, I was ready for my next summit. Gunung Ijen. The hike started at 2am and I was greeted with a native guide from ijen. I later learned that he himself, was a miner at the site of the crater that I was going to summit. As I paced myself with tips from Yayak, I embraced the hike up to the crater. I took 90 minutes to reach the Blue flames with a few 1 minute stops that are necessary for a steep climb in terms of altitude equilibrium. Then, I witnessed the blue flames with my own eyes. It was such a phenomenal experience. Of course the sulphuric volcanic gases were very intense, my eyes were burning forcing me to tear up. At some point, I closed my eyes and squatted down just to make sure I am okay. My guide, the ex miner is an expert in his zone. Without a mask, he was so chill smoking at one corner. Manly man said to me, “go take a sit at the hideout, I will take the blue flames close ups for you”. I was so thankful for that. Afterwards because we are very early at the top ijen, we decided to tidur at the hideout until sunrise as it is too cold to be hanging around the summit due to the wind. What a great Javanese experience to nap in the crater! Haha. Just follow what the locals do! At 5:05am, we were greeted with the slight turquoise warmth from the reflection of the acid lake. That was a subtle way the sun greeted us selamat pagi. As we watched the sunrise unfold, we hiked back up to the summit and witnessed the beauty of seeing the sunrise with the world largest acid lake. With plenty of photos taken, I was in awe at the magnificent view that gunung ijen was showing her beauty to me. What hit me the most was the deep quote from the signage. “Jangan Turuti Egomu Hanya Karena Api Biru” (Don't follow your ego only because of the Blue Flame). True enough, a solo hiking trip is meaningless without a soul searching connection with myself. The quote hits deep when you take a breather and look around the majestic top of the summit 2,769m above sea level. With so much happiness in me, I gladly skipped down the summit as we descended the hike. Making friends along the trail was a bonus experience. Seeing hikers hyping others up felt like a motivation to lift up other’s soul. Reaching back to the base by 6:30am, I was very early for my schedule. Hence, I had the luxury to unwind and head back with Yayak. As a coffee lover, my jaw dropped when Yayak showed me the coffee trees along the road with the history of east java coffee especially around the high altitude fertile volcanic soils of the Ijen Plateau. My jaw dropped lower when I heard that my ijen guide runs a coffee plantation too! He rode his motorbike as he passed Yayak some freshly grind coffee powder which Yayak surprised me with! This is spontaneity is my favourite highlight of this entire trip! I was blown away in awe 🤯 Ijen coffee has an exceptional taste and aroma with the beans known for their medium to heavy body, low acidity and rich, earthy profile with hints of chocolate and spice. The unique characteristics have made Java Ijen Coffee highly sought after among coffee enthusiasts and specialty coffee markets. I would be selfish if I were to gate-keep my precious marvellous tour guide Yayak. However, I sincerely wish that his business bloom so that he can earn lots of money to travel his two dream destination with his family! PLEASE SUPPORT Pemandu Wisata Terbaik Yayak✨✨✨ As much as he is filled with passion, experience, and expertise, he has not travelled beyond Indonesia which is actually very important for hiking advocates like him. As a traveller around the world, I would like him to see the mountains around the world as it is the most fulfilling end goal when you understand the world’s natural beauty especially when his family are also enthusiasts hikers like him! 🤲 All in all, Yayak as my guide has really helped me see the Beauty of Java. I crave knowledge, experiences from experts around Java, meeting new people and learning as much as I can! A very BIG THANK YOU to the team behind the scenes, Yayak for making this happen as well as the other guides that I met along the way! Siap pergi!

My friend and I (2 single females) had a wonderful 3D2N on the Bromo & Ijen tour. While Ijen was somewhat challenging, it was an experience of a lifetime. Didn’t fancy the crowd up there, and the descent to the crater can be potentially dangerous. Bromo was a lot more manageable. Special shout out to our guide and driver Rama and Yohanes - they’re such an amazing and unhinged (in a good way) duo who took very good care of us. They’re very patient and accommodative to our requests and put up with our (equally unhinged) nonsenses 😅 Their sense of humour and Spotify playlist are top notch. We had so much fun and laughter on the trip. Will totally request for them again for my next trip to Java 👍

Our three-day journey was truly unforgettable. From the very start, we felt in good hands thanks to our excellent guide and skilled driver, who made sure everything ran smoothly and safely. The itinerary was full and exciting, yet perfectly balanced with enough moments to rest and take in the surroundings. This thoughtful pacing allowed us to fully enjoy every stop. Each day brought new sights, stories, and experiences that will stay with us for years to come. It was the perfect blend of adventure, comfort, and care — an experience we will always treasure.

Just got back from a 3-day tour to Mount Bromo and Ijen, and honestly – what an adventure. Our guide, Yohanes Aditya, made the whole trip 10x better. From the start, Yohanes was super friendly, easy to talk to, and really knew his stuff. You can tell he brings so much energy and excitement to the tour. What I really appreciated was how chill and genuine he was – like traveling with a friend who just happens to be a local expert. If you’re planning this trip, definitely ask for Yohanes if you can. He’ll take great care of you. Thanks Yohanes for the laughs, stories, and unforgettable memories!

We booked 3D2N tour with Mount Bromo. It was a very smooth journey from the start of booking the tour, airport pickup and till we finish our tour of returning back to hotel. Our guide, Kechengk, was always punctual, answered the questions in details and patient for our demanding requests. Each activity was well organised visiting waterfall, watching sunrise, hiking Mt.Ijen. In addition, Kechengk and the local guides are very accommodating in helping us taking the photos. Kencheng was very professional and was the best guide that we can ask for. It was a memorable experience for me and my friend and thank you again each and everyone of you for the excellent service. Highly recommended!
