Mount Everest

The Everest Experience flight gives the best opportunity to get the closest and the best view of Mount Everest (8,850mts) & other mountains such as; Shisa Pangma (8,013m), Gauri Shanker (7,134m), Melungtse (7,023m), Cho Oyu (8,201m), Pumori (8,171m), Nuptse (7,855m), Lhotse (8,516m) & Ama Dablam (6,856m). The flights are operated every morning from Kathmandu airport which flies at an average altitude of 6,500 - 7,000 meters. Circling Mount Amadablam to enter the Khumbu valley, we take the passengers almost five nautical miles from the highest peak in the world - Mt. Everest (weather permitting). This flight usually lasts for slightly less than an hour. We provide each passenger with individual window seats (guaranteed) during the entire flight. This is an extremely popular activity and booking ahead is recommended. The client will get individual window seats during the entire flight. This 50-60 minutes flight is a truly memorable experience that one should not miss out in Nepal.

A beautifully planned and perfectly executed tour. Our guide was very attentive and well-organised. He was super helpful and accommodating. He gave us tips for seat selection etc as well that were very helpful. We were also able to get the perfect weather making it a truly unforgettable trip. You dont expect to fly as close to the mountains as you actually do - we could actually see the movement in the glaciers! We loved the overall experience so much that we hired them for are further plans as well immediately. 10/10 reccomend!

Why did we book through the operator and not directly? See…whether or not the peaks will be visible is a matter of pure luck (pray to weather gods). For everything else, we wanted someone whom we could trust fully and be tension-free. We were 2 girls on a girl’s trip, and we didn’t know anyone in Nepal. The services they provided included real-time coordination before we reached Nepal, timely car pickup (car had water etc for us), accommodating our requests for special needs (like accessibility etc), having our flight tickets printed and ready for us, giving us tips on how to enjoy the viewing once we are in the flight, tracking our flight to ensure our safety, collecting us at the airport without having to follow-up and dropping us safely back to the hotel. The experience lasts for about 4 hours in total (including airborne time). Absolutely recommend booking through this operator and good luck with your viewing 😊

Beautiful, blue sky day, great flight crew, driver and guide. We loved the whole experience. We were delayed for an hour on the runway, but it all went smoothly after that. Really enjoyed having the map of the mountain range as we flew by.

A most memorable and scenic flight over the Himalyas Our transport to the domestic airport by Kunjan was timely, along the way he informed us about the flight and relevant info. The flight lasted around 50 mins and we had ample time to take in the stunning views of the mountains, the Shree Airlines flight hostess pointed out the significant ones and especially as Mount Everest came into view. if you can, do take this flight. The most fabulous 50 mins ever spent. our transfer back to the hotel was also very smooth assisted by Kunjan.

Excellent experience with Shree Airlines on their scenic mountain flight out of Kathmandu Domestic Airport booked through get your guide app. Prompt pickup from hotel and transfer to domestic airport for mountain flight SHA 601 . Meal box provided upon arrival at airport and checkin in at Shree Airlines counter. Brochure of mountains provided by Shree Airlines staff at gate prior to boarding the bus that takes you to the aircraft. Flight scheduled for 6.00am didn’t depart until 7.00am but this is usually due to Air Traffic Control restrictions or weather and not necessarily the airline. Flight was just under 1 hour in length with all passengers having a window seat. The first fly past is about 25 mins for those on the left hand side of the plane and the return flight then allows those on the right hand side of the plane to view the mountains. The air stewards point out different mountains to customers throughout the flight. A certificate is also provided during the flight . Well worth the money spent for a once in a lifetime experience to view Mount Everest and other Himalayan mountains without trekking. Prompt transfer back to hotel after flight landed.
This adventure is high on the To Do list for Kathmandu!

I had to wait about 1 week for this trip as the weather was very bad but Kunjantt always had the weather in mind and suggested today. And what can I say, he was right, the weather was perfect. I had a magnificent view of the Himalayan mountains. Just fantastic. Must have seen.... Everything around was great: punctual hotel pickup, Kunjantt explained to me what to do at the airport, where to run, queue, etc. and he waited at the gate again after the flight. Thanks Kunjantt for the relaxed morning. By the way, best guide with the best taste in music.....
Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
