Kotoku-in - Great Buddha of Kamakura
Kotoku-in is home to the Great Buddha of Kamakura, one of Japan's most famous statues. This massive bronze Buddha stands at 13.35 meters tall and has survived natural disasters since the 13th century. This statue is unique because you can actually go inside it to see its internal structure. It symbolizes serenity and provides a great place to reflect while walking around the grounds. Please note that you can only see this option if you choose the correct option

5.00We went on this trip on Dec 27 with Beru as our guide. Beru was very knowledgeable, personable, and funny! Each of the 4 stops were beautiful and enlightening. The Kamakura Big Buddha was especially nice because we got there early enough to avoid the crowds. The other stops were busier but still worth it. Mt Fuji was obscured for all but 15 minutes, but those 15 minutes sure were a blast! Beru managed our time very well. He easily and politely, adapted to sudden schedule changes. The price was fair for all that we got to see.

5.00Excellent experience with our guide Naomi and driver Waku San, very friendly and fun. The weather did not allow us to see Mount Fuji, but we learned a lot from Japanese culture and enjoyed the company very much.
It was amazing, really the best tour in the world, Waku San and Naomi are the best guides, super attentive, super friendly

5.00Amazing tour, could not recommend more!! Perfectly paced day with great sights, incredible way to see many different areas of Japan in one day. Naomi and Jorge were the best guides we could ask for and definitely made this day one we won't forget. They take great care of everyone and do a great job giving history on the stops and answering any questions we had. The bus was also very comfortable, Nezu was a phenomenal driver.
