Benefit from pick-up from your hotel in Bali, and then travel to the westernmost tip to catch the ferry to Java from Gilimanuk. On your way to Java, you will also visit Wanagiri to see the view of Tamblingan and Buyan twin lake, Banyumala Waterfalls, Munduk rice terraces. Upon arrival at Ketapang port in Banyuwangi, travel to the village of Licin and drive through a rainforest of giant ferns and trees on the slopes of Mount Ijen.
Ascend to the summit to look into the crater and marvel at the blue fires of the volcano under a canopy of stars. Get a panoramic view of the sulfur lake and surrounding landscape in the first light of day. Then, return to the base of the mountain to enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant before the drive back to the Bali.

5.00Kadek, our driver was exceptional at his job. He was considerate and took good care of us throughout the trip. He communicated accordingly every step of the way. Our guide at the hike was humorous which made our 4km hike exciting and endurable. Highly recommended for the best experience at Ijen crater.

5.00This was truly a wonderful experience! Our driver, Bulldog, was very hardworking and thoughtful in making sure we got to our destination safely. The local guide also led us up the volcano smoothly, and we were lucky enough to witness the amazing blue fire — such a memorable experience! One thing that could be improved is the communication before the trip. We were not informed in advance that we needed to provide our passports to the driver. When the driver asked for them, it caught us off guard and made us feel a bit uneasy. Clearer instructions beforehand would definitely make the experience even better.

5.00Kadek best driver ever, if you only had time to do 1 thing in Bali I would suggest this. Not only do you get to see some attractions but also get to meet some cool people, and I learnt a lot about the culture through talking with others. Accommodation is good, attractions are cool, and you get to drive through the main part of the island so you can see a lot of local villages. Did I mention kadek is the best driver ;)

5.00The driver is so nice, easy going and helpful. He always on time and responsible. And drove us almost 12hrs to the destination without requesting any break, only when we ask…. The tour guide is super funny, and lead us walk very fast so that we have more time to catch the blue fire. The hotel is simple, and some ants in the corner, but the food they made is very delicious. In general, it is a quite contend trip.

5.00We joined the 2 days tour to mount Ijen. Our driver Rei is very helpful to take our luggage and take beautiful pictures. The total driving time was over 12 hours throughout the trip but still managed to drive professionally. Our ljen mountain guide was Supri and he is experienced and caring. He accompanied us whole time to the blue fire and take pictures for us. We feel safe throughout the journey. Overall a nice experience.
