5.00This is a wonderfully curated experience. From hiking through the Mt Elma area to cave visit and an interesting town the day included many highlights and surprises.

5.00We had an amazing day out exploring Mount Etna, riding the cable car and walking on the snow at the top! Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of history about the mountain and the volcanic eruptions over time. We then went and had a wine, cheese and sweet treats tasting in Ragalna which was really good, then had a tour of a cave created by the volcanic lava - the terrain was difficult to walk over and the entrance to the cave was harder for taller (I am 6’2”) people but we managed ok. Finally we were taken to the beautiful town of Taormina and had 2 hours of free time to eat, drink and ship. An amazing and unforgettable day!

5.00The trip from Catania to Etna and Taormina was worth every penny. Etna is just… wow. We went hiking and even though it was cloudy, the volcano still looked absolutely breathtaking. Our guide, Francesco, was brilliant — really informative, told us so much about the craters, the history, the formations, all of it. I felt really safe and relaxed with him the whole day. We also went into a volcano cave and then tried some local honey and olive oil, which was such a nice touch before heading to Taormina. And Taormina was magical. The Ancient Theatre is a must — you can’t go there and not see it. Best day. Highly recommend.

2.00Tour description on Viator states that trekking shoes are available, but company refused to provide them stating that we had to request them in advance (which wasn't stated in tour listing). Tour spent too long at the winery sales/gift shop lunch (90 minutes) and too little time in Taormina.

5.00Our full-day tour to Mount Etna and the beautiful village of Taormina from Catania was absolutely fantastic. Everything was well organized and the scenery was simply unforgettable. A special thank you to our guide, Salvador, who truly made the experience world-class. His knowledge, passion for the region, and friendly personality added so much to the tour. He explained the history of Mount Etna, the volcanic landscape, and the culture of Sicily in a way that made the whole day incredibly engaging. Mount Etna itself is breathtaking, and Taormina is one of the most charming villages I’ve ever visited, with stunning views, beautiful streets, and amazing atmosphere. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sicily. It was one of the highlights of our trip!
Short but difficult trek on Mt. Etna

4.00The trip was good, although the hiking on Mt. Aetna was harder than expected due to much it being in snow. The guide was knowledgeable but was somewhat hard to understand due to his strong Italian accent. I’m not sure how much the non-native English speakers could have gotten out of his explanations being that I had to work at understanding him.
