5.00I wanted to be able to have less people in my group so that I could enjoy the experience more, which is why I went with this walking tour. We ended up being the only couple so we got to enjoy the tour along with learning more about Malta than if we'd been with other people. Ani was fantastic and such a lovely tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about Malta, and Mdina, and we would HIGHLY recommend Ani's tour!
The daytrip supposed to...

1.00The daytrip supposed to be at 11:15 a.m, but during the day the person in charge sent me a message informing me the daytrip was changed to 03:15 p.m. By the way I arrived to Mdina citadelle early in the morning, I was walking around there, visiting places, however when the daytrip schedule arrived, there wasn't any guide in the meeting point. As matter of fact, I was waiting for 10 or 15 minutes, but nobody appeared.

5.00Highly recommend this guided tour to make the most of your time in the ancient city of Mdina. Ani was so lovely and very knowledgeable, taking us back through time with tales that meandered through history as we meandered through secret gardens and pathways through the city. We went in the evening where there were fewer large groups to avoid the crowds.

5.00Ani was amazing, lots of insights into history, culture and the people who lived in El Mdina and Malta past and present. Small group tour at a time when the crowds had left so she really gave us the best personalised experience. Great humour, friendly and knowledgeable, also gave some great recommendations on things to do. Can’t recommend Ani enough, she was fabulous

5.00Ani was an excellent guide. She was full of interesting information and fascinating tales of Mdina both historical and contemporary. We saw the sites where Games of Thrones and other movies were filmed but also learned of the effects both positive and negative on the residents of Mdina. With many other anecdotes this is definitely the best way to explore…plus you learn what’s not in the guide books!

1.00I consider myself an extremely avid traveller and have been using Viator for numerous years for my travel needs. So far so good, I have always loved Viator and praise the app for its flexibility of use, that is, until my experience this past Sunday. I have to say, it's probably time I delete the app and find another company who cares, honours, and accepts Accountability for when 3rd party Tour Operators FAIL TO FULFILL their responsibility to the customer, and/or to carry out their services. Long story short -I signed for "Mysteries of Mdina: Private Tour of the Ancient City" many months ago for my visit tour to Malta. FAIR WARNING: DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR!!!! The tour operators have no integrity, how can anyone sleep at nights, when they have no issues taking someone else's money WITHOUT PROVIDING the service a customer has already paid for ? The tour operators "claimed" my partner and I were not at the meeting point - that is untrue; my partner and I clearly were PRESENT at the meeting point during the correct time, PLUS had proof from my UBER receipt/screenshot of the ride that we were there. The tour operators refused to believe us, and hence felt they had the right to NOT agree to refund me! Seriously blows my mind how shady the tour operators are. An honest, respectful business would never have had a problem refunding money if work was NOT fulfilled. I reached out to Viator as soon as I noticed no one showed up at the meeting point, and initially they did seem supportive. However in the days ahead, they did pretty much NOTHING but offer empty apologies and sided with the tour operator. I am DONE wasting my energy with companies and people who have no respect for my business. To the Tour company who Operates "Mysteries of Mdina: Private Tour of the Ancient City" - you stoled my money ($148.88 CAD or 94.92 Euros), I hope you are proud of yourself. Lesson learned for me - I should NOT trust any tour companies with only 24 Reviews. Moreover I will make sure I share with the world what happened to me. Have a good life!
