• Fun and interesting day trip to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius

  The tour was well organized and our tour leader Connie shared knowledge of Naples in general and interesting tidbits along the bus route. Bruno is an expert navigator driving us safely to each destination. Teresa was our guide in Pompeii Archaeological Park and her detailed explanations allowed us to get more understanding of the life in Pompeii. The hike up Mount Vesuvius was challenging but well worth the effort as you are rewarded with a stunning view of Naples and the coastline. Highly recommended if visiting Naples.

  I took this trip with my family and it was a perfect day. Our driver Antonio and our tour guide Nunzia picked us up in Naples and we went to Pompeii first and while we were on our way Nunzia shared with us some history about the city and the site. Once we got to Pompeii we met our site tour guide, Ines, she gave us a two hour tour and did a great job showing different buildings, talking about archaeological discoveries and what it told us about Pompeiian’s way of life. She also did a great job navigating the site so we avoided crowds and had a more private experience. After we finished touring Pompeii Antonio and Nunzia took us to lunch at Ristorante Kona. It had a spectacular view from the dining room. Wait staff was very friendly and the food was very good. From lunch we drove up winding roads to Mount Vesuvius. Once there we were given 2 hours to climb to the top. It was plenty of time to climb, stop take in the views, get plenty of pictures, and you could even get a drink if you wanted. When we were satisfied we hiked back down where Antonio and Nunzia were waiting to pick us up. We ended the day traveling back to where we were picked up. We had such a spectacular time and I couldn’t think of a better way to cover both the Pompeii site and Vesuvius in one day.

  To start, our tour guide Connie and driver Bruno were extremely professional and experienced. They managed everything very well. We had a great experience at Pompeii and our guide (Theresa) explained everything with patience and a touch of good humour. Everything was in-time and well planned. Additionally, the lunch was amazing.

  Had a great time! Our guide Federica was excellent! She met us at the cruise port and clearly explained the tour schedule. Our driver Antonio was also excellent..driving in Naples is pretty scary, but he got us where we needed to be. Pompeii is huge! So interesting too. Our guide thru the ruins explained the sights very well. After Pompeii we had lunch and then headed up Mount Vesuvius. The drive up is pretty curvy but also very pretty with some great views. We climbed to the top in about 40 minutes. Seemed like the first part was the steepest. Beautiful views, well work the walk up. We r not young but are in somewhat decent shape and we made the walk without too much trouble. Great excursion. Highly recommend!

  A great excursion, visit Pompeii and after eating, by the way a very good meal, climbed Vesuvius. The first team: Nacho, very attentive from the eve of the excursion to the end, Patricia, the guide in Pompeii, very interesting and Giuseppe, the very professional driver.   Excellent experience. Giuseppe was very professional, gentle and friendly throughout the tur. He even gave us recommendations for other visits we would make in and around the city. The right driver. Comfortable vehicle. The time of visits to Pompeia and Vesuvius is adequate. Lunch included was delicious. Very good experience. Recommended 100%

  This has been a bucket list tour for me and having looked at all the tour company options, I'm so glad I booked this one! It's not easy keeping a diverse group of travelers on time with different age groups, languages, and walking speed, but our tour leader Connie along with driver Remigio pulled it off! After being picked up at the first meeting spot, we picked up the rest of the group and headed to Pompeii. We were fortunate to have a pretty sunny day where Pompeii guide Leo gave us a clear picture of what life was like in the city before the fateful eruption. We then drove minutes away for our nice lunch at the restaurant. Those with the wine option ate at a separate area of the restaurant, while the rest of the group enjoyed our indoor lunch which included a salad, spaghetti pasta with a tomato sauce, and dessert. It was a perfect meal before driving 45 minutes or so and walking up Mount Vesuvius. We were fortunate to have a dry day, but was a bit overcast to see far out into the waters. It didn't matter because the main attraction was the active volcano where you can see steam coming out. The walk up is about 25 minutes and there is are two nice little beverage/snack/souvenir spots. One just after reaching the top and the other just after reaching the top. We had a good 2 hours which let you take your time once you reached the top. I've been on a few 'all day' tours and this one didn't feel long at all, as the lunch breaks up the two main attractions nicely. I highly recommend taking this specific tour and if you could not go wrong with the World Tour team of Connie, Remigio, and Leo- grazie a tutti!
