In Pompeii, a 2r guided tour led by an expert archaeologist reveals the haunting beauty of a city frozen in time by the eruption of 79 AD. Following your exploration, indulge in a traditional Italian lunch.
Your adventure continues to Mount Vesuvius, with a choice between two unique trails:
1. The Crater Trail leads you on a scenic ascent to the summit, where sweeping views of the Bay of Naples and a striking glimpse into the volcanic crater await.
2. The Valley of Hell offers a more adventurous path, winding through solidified lava flows from the 1944 eruption and revealing extraordinary rock formations and a hidden lava cave.
Both trails are led by experienced guides who provide insights into the geological and historical significance of the area.

When the booking arrives 8 hours before the start time, the ONLY pick-up point is Starhotels Terminus in Piazza Garibaldi.

5.00Pompeii was a fascinating and informative tour with our guide Tomaso. A senior citizens, it was tiring for us to walk for two hours, but it was worth it to see a very large ancient city. We also had a stop at Mount Vesuvius, but the trail was too steep for us so we relaxed on the bus. Lunch was surprisingly good, much better than expected!

5.00Our guide Titti was amazing! She made the whole experience so fun and enjoyable. Daniele was our driver and he was so nice. Tommaso was our guide for Pompei, he was funny, engaging and gave us all the best historical and humorous information. I definitely recommend going doing this excursion in March as there’s few/barely any crowds and the weather is perfect for walking around Pompei. The lunch included was delicious and so filling, it was three courses!

3.00Mixed experience. The driver was excellent. He drove calmly and well in the crazy traffic and was waiting at our meeting spot already when we arrived. The other family in our small group did not speak English which lead to a lot of faffing around at the start to work out which guide they would go with in pompei. Our guide dealt with it well but it did not enhance the experience for us. It also made it awkward at lunch. Pompei was great and the archiological tour guide was excellent. Lunch was unimpressive. There were a bunch of flies circling the air above the table. The food was ok but very basic. Salty salad, spaghetti with tomato sauce and a small piece of tray bake. We then had to sit and wait in the bus for a different small grouo who were doing a wine tasting. The air con on the bus did not work. The vesuvius climb was great. Steep but worth it. Paola was very kind and did her best but the overall tour experience was a bit meh. I would very much reccommend pompei and vesuvius but i am not sure about world tours.
