Beautiful island but trip was too short

The description about this tour stated that the duration was about 3.5 hours. We departed at 11:30 and by the time we got to the island (around 12:15) we only had a little more then an hour as the boat was leaving to go back at 1:30. There is no snorkeling on the island since there are quite a few boats at all times on the ideal snorkeling spots going back and forth. There’s a bar but not really a restaurant, they have a pre made meal that is more like a cafeteria food, no snacks, sandwiches, salads. If you’re vegan or vegetarian you’re out of luck! But the bar section is huge, no shortage of drinks. Most of the staff members are nice but quite few are very rude and bossy, they made us feel like a bunch of cows and didn’t treat us very nicely. Apparently their last return trips are around 2-2:30, so you don’t get to spend much time to really relax and enjoy the island. They have multiple packages but we only did “swim with the pigs, no lunch included”but in the end we didn’t really see the pigs because we realized we didn’t have enough time to do lunch and enjoy the beach.

This was a really cool and gorgeous boat ride and all the staff were super friendly! Please beware though that if you choose the start time at 11:30 am (instead of 9:30 am) then it's a shorter experience and NOT 4 hours total. We wanted to sleep in that day so chose the 11:30 start time and found out we only had 1.5 hours on the beach instead of 3 hours. This is NOT explained on the website so please be aware. The tour staff kindly gave us a refund once I pointed that out so they made it right and were very friendly about it.

It was so pretty and the staff was very friendly. Pig’s were fun. I would 10/10 recommend it! Didn’t try any food but the drinks were decent.

The experience was initially positive as they texted me the morning off the trip with the location of where to pick up. They even sent me a WhatsApp pin so that I could get there using Google maps ..The boat driver was friendly. The tour left on time and they even made a stop on the way home to go see sea turtles. This is well organized and I would recommend it.

Potentially a good day out for small kids who will enjoy the trampoline, pigs and snorkelling. What we didn’t realise was that the different companies enclose you to their section of the island so you’re stuck for 3h entirely in a small fenced area. Very small beach especially if you aren’t keen on the kids charging around (we were two friends wanting to explore and read), one bar with expensive drinks and one option for Bahamian canteen type food which looked okay but $20 a plate. The water is very clean and clear though and we stopped briefly on the boat trip back to see two turtles in the water. We had a good time but would’ve chosen elsewhere if we had a clearer idea of the trip.
One of the best relaxing and amazing excursions we have ever done!

It was so beautiful and amazing. I would like to have stayed much longer. I will never forget the warm and clear blue water. On the way back we saw 3 sea turtles!! I feel so blessed to have experienced one of Gods amazing places on earth! The crew were kind and good to us. The one complaint I have is the amount of walking it took to get from the ship to the meeting place. The walk was very hard on our elder people in our group. There needs to be a dedicated shuttle/bus from the ship to the excursion meeting place.

Absolutely incredible place! Everything about it is perfect, and I truly hope they never change a thing. The beach is stunning—beautiful, clean, and simply unforgettable. I don’t swim with the pigs, but they have a separate area for no-pig swimming, and it’s excellent. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

We had a great experience with this tour. It was easy to locate and everything was on time as planned. Boat ride was great with more than what we expected. Stops and tour on our return. Friendly hosts and Rose Island was a nice private getaway. Beautiful, clean beach with food and drink options that were very affordable. Friendly staff and plenty of space and seating for everyone.

Unfortunately we weren’t able to make it to this beautiful island but they were very helpful and made it right for us. Still on our bucket list for sure! Such a beautiful place ❤️

My husband and I booked this Rose Island Perfect Beach Day for a shore excursion while we were visiting Nassau, Bahamas on a cruise ship. We booked through tripadvisor. It was the best day of our cruise. The pick up was easy from the cruise ship terminal and from there we enjoyed a beautiful boat trip that took about 30-45 minutes. There was so much to see just on the boat trip including big mansions, beautiful blue, clear water and turtle sightings. When we got to the island we saw the pigs run down to the water to swim with people and we were able to get a lot of great pictures. We had brought our snorkeling gear with us, so we snorkeled right off the beach and saw plenty of fish swimming around rock formations. It was nice to get in and out of the water on our own schedule for the few hours that we were there. There is a little bar that served up a plate of food and a soda to those that wanted it and it was included in the price. The crew was very fun and informative. They told us a lot about who lived in the mansions and stopped at a place where there are a lot of turtles so we could see them. There were turtles everywhere. We were able to enjoy a stress-free day, a great boat ride, pictures of swimming pigs and turtles, and all that for only $49.00. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants all the Bahamas has to offer, all in one day!
