The walk is on sealed surfaces, mostly flat. Where there are a few steps, there is a ramp alternative for easy access
If parking a vehicle in Miller's Acre Car Park, it takes payment by card or coins; free parking is available in adjacent streets. Please ask your guide if further information is required.

Introduction to the Nelson Provincial Museum - home to fascinating artifacts and history of the Nelson area. You can revisit and pay a small entry fee after the tour.
Christ Church Cathedral
Stroll up the main street of Nelson, viewing the varied architecture and art installations, until we reach the Cathedral which is a an elevated focal point of the cityscape. You can go inside the Cathedral after the tour, at your leisure. We also visit South Street with its beautiful, historic heritage cottages.

5.00We were staying for one night in Nelson, whilst travelling round NZ from the UK and my sister booked the walking tour with James before we got there. We had a fantastic morning and the tour lasted 3 hours and extremely informative. James was the perfect host and took us to some lovely shops too. We learned so much in those 3 hours, would definitely recommend this tour and James ! Thanks again James, hope you have a good season 😎

5.00An exellent way to learn about the history of Nelson and discover the city sights. Much better than doing it on your own. Our guide, James, was engaging and personable. He pointed out many sights that we had walked by and missed on our own.
James is extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. There is way more about nelson to learn and James was fantastic

5.00This walking tour was excellent. Guide James was so chatty and friendly, and an absolute font of knowledge about Nelson. We saw so many places we would never have found ourselves, and learnt a lot about Nelson and its history. The tour lasted close on 3 hours. Sadly it was Sunday when we did the tour, so many shops were closed. But that was a minor thing, and we greatly enjoyed the morning, and especially appreciated James who did a marvellous job as the tour guide.
