Enjoy a 3 hours tour with an informative guide to visit the popular Neuschwanstein Castle (the inspiration for Disney castle). First, we take the shuttle bus to Mary’s Bridge (Marienbrücke) for some amazing pictures. Then we walk to Neuschwanstein (the fairy tale castle) with a tour inside. Know more about the Swan King (Ludwig II) king of Bavaria (1864-1886). And the history of Neuschwanstein Castle (built 1869-1886). Afterward, from the castle’s foot, we take a horse carriage to Hohenschwangau village. Take a walk around the beautiful Lake Alpsee, and enjoy the rest of your day in the Hohenschwangau area. # Please note that (During the winter months, due to snow and for safety reasons, the Marienbrücke is closed).

5.00Fantastic tour from start to finish. Stephen was an incredibly knowledgeable and talented tour guide. I really appreciated his patience, passion and insight. The castle was very beautiful and fun. Although it was cold and outside it was worthwhile trip. We definitely recommend and would do it again. Thanks again Stephen for the great tour guide!

5.00The interior castle portion of the tour is an audio guide where you are herded around in a large group from one room to the next, which is not the greatest experience, but you don't feel rushed and you do end up getting a good look at the interior. The Viator guide meets you at the parking lot and then takes you on a bus ride up to the castle. Along the way, the guide provides a lot of history of the castle, the family that built it, and the region. You then get to spend a few minutes on the bridge before the interior tour. After the interior tour, the guide meets back up with the group and provides more history. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and it was well worth doing the tour through Viator with a guide vs. just showing up and doing the interior tour on your own.

5.00The castle has a great story behind it with Ludwig 2nd. It is very much a fairy tale castle. The inside that is completed is incredible. The steps and the buildings in the courtyard is a nice warm-up before the main event. It is a good hike up to the castle. Enjoyable with the lovely scenery and woodland. There is a regular bus for a price. The view from the top of the hill is breathtaking. I would only do one castle a day. Allow 3 to 4 hours if you're walking. Book your ticket in advance . You can only enter on the time given. The tour was very good and informative. Go with the flow and enjoy

5.00The tour was great from start to finish! First we enjoyed the viewpoint for photos on the bridge, then came the short walkway with very nice angles - and meanwhile Caroline has told the story of Ludwig II really exciting! Even our young children were fascinated! The tour of the castle was impressive anyway, and the carriage ride rounded off the beautiful experience. We can recommend the tour without restriction! Thanks to Caroline!
Great visit, Stephen filled all downtime with great historical perspective. Well worth the experience.

5.00there is a lot of background history of the family dynasty. it is not just looking at a fairytale castle. just fyi, If you have bad knees there are lots of steps!. Steven was super!! we enjoyed it.
