  Its a long day but you learn alot about the history and geography of Oman. Our guide Ali was very lnowledgable and went out of his way to make sure we saw as much as possible . The canyon is worth the time it takes to get to it.

• Great trip to Nizwa fort and mountains

  The Nizwa fort was very interesting to see as well as local souqs (markets). We had a private tour with Ameer who was very knowledgeable about Oman history and recommended many practical things, places to see and also view spots for taking pictures. We changed the second part of the trip to Green Mountains and the views of Jebel Akhdar were amazing. We can highly recommend Ameer to guide you as his friendly attitude was really exceptional. A private tour was a good choice as we could take our time as a family according our own pace and abilities. PS: bonus with our guide Ameer - he brought hot homemade coffee and dates with tahini and herbal king tea. This trip is highly recommended!

  Very nice trip to Nizwa and Jebel Shams - Yassir is a great guide and driver, sharing loads of knowledge about Oman. Amazing canyon :-) But be prepared for long drives.

  We enjoyed our trip with Khalid - he is a very knowledgeable and accommodative guide. The views and landmarks were also great, especially in the mountains.
