Moraca Monastery

This mystical sacral edifice is surrounded, like a medieval fortress, with high stonewall inside which there are sleeping quarters which can tell you some legend from this area. According to one legend, which is present among the local people, this monastery was made of special yellow stone, which is found in the area very far from the place where the monastery actually is. According to this legend people from this area made a column, which was tens of kilometers long, and in that way turned the stone from hand to hand from the place called Tusine, the place where the stone was located, to the present monastery Moraca.

A magnificent excursion to Montenegro by private taxi, punctuated by beautiful cultural and natural discoveries. The landscapes were breathtaking, between majestic mountains and picturesque villages. We highly recommend this tour! The landscapes we passed through are fantastic to say the least. Nature takes your breath away. The tour is so well made, it is made up of a visit to the canyon, a town in the north, a national park which is beautiful, a leisurely walk and a very old monastery which is beautiful. Our guide Tamara is very professional, educated, interesting and charismatic. We would like to visit the same places again if we come to Montenegro again. We thank Miss Tamara endlessly for a wonderful experience and a very beautiful and interesting day!
