Welcome, Greenlander welcomes you on the most adventurous Northern Lights chase in the Northern Norway. You will be guided by a pro photographer (see proof from our Instagram or Facebook page,) who will safely take you around the perimeter on a 4x4 modified Mercedes Benz minivan.
The tour consists central pickup, home made soup, hot drinks, tripods, thermal suit, boots, campfire(if conditions allow,) Aurora portraits and so much more.
Greenlander has a reputation of not giving up and therefore having one of the highest success rates in the business, around 95%-98% chance of catching the elusive Northern Lights. Please consider, the weather can be harsh and sometimes we have to chase for hours, before we can even see first stars. This tour might not suit for elder, obese and unfit participants, as sometimes we hike in a snow and our minivan is rather compact compared to bigger buses used by other companies.

5.00Hans was a great guide and I really appreciate that he’s clear with his instructions and we knew what is expected. He told us that he will be on “chasing” mode cos we needed to chase for the clear skies and told us roughly how long the drive will be. When we arrived, we were greeted with the most amazing dancing lights. He singlehanded-ly setup more than 1 camera, and helped us took portrait shots! Photos looked great, with good composition. Once we were done with the lights, he setup campfire and prepared hot food for us too. I don’t know how he manage to do all these alone! Btw he is also the driver lol. He took great care of everyone in the group! I’m very satisfied with the tour.

5.00Our experience was a Wow! Wow! Wow! from the start. The company was so organised to book with, great communication, affordable fees, easy to deal with. On the day, pick up was so easy and everything went so smoothly. The trip out was just gorgeous! The scenery changed and it was so so picturesque! We only waited a little while before we saw the Northern Lights!!!!! It started off so faint but fired up to a really vibrant bright green with some pinks. Our guide was soo enthusiastic and was so excited! He was passionate about finding the best place and taking the best shot! Wow! What a great photographer!! We stopped for a break and had hot chocolate and cookies then continued when the Aurora showed up again! How lucky were we! Greenlander were amazing! We felt safe, warm and so well looked after. Our guide Arbo was fantastic, so helpful and so full of warmth! Thank you so much Greenlander! Excellent company- I would highly recommend booking with these people if you want a seamless and wonderful experience with a Northern Lights tour.

5.00Absolutely the best northern lights tour. The next day we spoke with many other hotel guests and all had their tour cancelled due to weather. Not us. This tour was amazing and he found magnificent northern lights. He is amazing. And the food and hot chocolate were the best. I can't believe I waited almost a year to finish this review. This was by far and away the best northern lights tour. The communication was stellar. The photos were stellar. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

5.00We had an incredible night chasing the northern lights in Tromsø. Our guide and photographer, Arbo, was absolutely brilliant, knowledgeable, patient and genuinely passionate about helping everyone get the best experience possible. We booked this as a special treat for our 25th wedding anniversary, and it truly didn’t disappoint. Thanks to Arbo, we not only found an amazing aurora show but came home with stunning photos we’ll cherish forever. A memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experience and a guide who made it genuinely special. Highly recommended.

5.00Hans was our driver and he knew where to take us away from the crowds and light pollution of the main city. Our camp was amazing and we were fortunate to be treated to the most beautiful constant display of ever changing aurora. The lights changed and glowed until we had to leave them still dancing. The atmosphere with the group, the warm soup and hot chocolate with cookies with the lights above made an unforgettable experience. Hans’ photos and pure passion shone through from start to finish. Tip- wear very warm clothes and plenty of layers with warm footwear. If you think you have cough clothing, add more!

5.00Amazing, astounding, jaw dropping, mesmerizing, mind blowing ... could keep on going, and still not do justice to the truly once-in-a-lifetime experience we had chasing the Northern Lights in Norway last month. And this simply would not have been possible without Markus and his team at Greenlander. Everything from making reservations to answering our numerous pre-trip questions to picking up / dropping off on the day of the trip were flawlessly handled. Most importantly, our guides' (Markus and Hans) skill and expertise in seeking out the best times and locations for viewing the Aurora was impressive. This is not easy given the uncertainties associated with weather, aurora activity, road conditions and such. They patiently explained every move we made, where we would stop, when it made sense to move on to a different site. Throughout the chase, they kept things interesting through stories, campfires, soup prep in freezing temperatures, etc. Took us a couple of hours and maybe two or three stops, but when it finally happened, what a show it was! No photo or video can ever capture the mind-bending spectacle that the Northern Lights can be. The movements of its colors, its patterns, and the sheer scale of the display creates a grand symphony of nature that for a moment at least makes us stop and think about our place in this universe. We will be forever thankful to Greenlander of Tromso for making this happen. One more thing: a true indicator of the quality of a tour company like this is whether people are willing to come back and go with them again. Well, we did. We came back for a second outing with Greenlander after a thrilling first night out with them. But wait, it wasn't just us! Five of the six others with us on the second night were repeat customers, one of whom came back five years after her first trip with Greenlander. Goes to show how good this company is. We recommend them with no hesitation.

5.00My wife and I went on this small group (max 8) tour on 17/11/25. Our guide was Abor Rae. He is really a great guide, who does everything professionally. First, he decided to bring us to a secluded beach near Someroy, he parked the vehicle off the road and used a shovel to clear the snow for a 100+m path for us to walk safely from the vehicle to the beach! Then he helped us put on the provided snow jacket. He also set up a bonfire, served us hot soup and beverages. Then the magic show in the sky began. Abor is a professional photographer. He took great photos for us and guided us too. The entire experience was great! Amazing! We really appreciate the hard work of our guide Abor Rae. We highly recommend Greenlander!

5.00If... If you have a dream... If you want a small group... If you want a bonfire under the stars... If you want a hot meat or tomato soup for company... If you want a hot chocolate with cookies... If you want all this with the Northern Lights dancing in the sky with Greenlander you can do it!!! For years I wanted to see the Northern Lights, Thursday, November 20, thanks to Greenlander it was possible! It's true it's not a cheap tour, but Greenlander does everything to pamper you and takes you everywhere to show you the dance of the lights in the sky, they are all helpful and kind. And 'possible to book only online, for any clarification or doubt you can contact them by email or whatsapp, the van has only 8 seats so, sometimes, it is difficult to find availability. On the way back, around 2 am, Markus accompanies all the participants to the hotel where they are staying, having an apartment in Kvaloya, Markus immediately worried about my return. Within 1/2 days via email many photos arrive... SPECTACULAR!!! A beautiful travel memory. If you have a dream Greenlander can make it happen. Thank you very much.

5.00All I can say is WOW!! I booked 2 Northern Lights chases with Greenlander after having my original booking cancelled by a different company. I am so glad that I changed to Greenlander. They are a very professional company and I was not disappointed. Arbo Rae was my guide for both tours, Arbo is also a professional photographer who took many amazing photos of the Lights and also made a time-lapse video which were all provided to me quickly. We made a camp fire both nights which was awesome to warm up and talk amongst new like minded friends. Do not hesitate to book your tours with Greenlander, they are the best. I highly recommend.

5.00To call Arbo a legend and a star honestly undersells his greatness. I did three separate Northern Lights tours, and while yes, Mother Nature ultimately decides how good the show is but your guide is equally important. And with Arbo, you’re not just getting a Northern Lights tour, you’re getting the Arbo experience. This man LOVES what he does, and his passion absolutely takes over the moment the lights appear. He’s kind, funny, and wildly talented with a camera (just look at the pictures). He’s a gracious guide who answers every question about the Northern Lights with real knowledge and endless patience. He made the entire night feel fun and personal by sharing his stories. Plus, he’s a safe and exceptional driver! If you can afford this tour, don’t even consider booking a bigger group. This team knows exactly what they’re doing—super responsive, incredibly attentive, and on top of everything from the moment you book. 11/10
