This 12 to 14-hour guided tour offers an immersive small-group experience in the comfort of a climate-controlled van. Along the way, enjoy storytelling, scenic stops, & a deeper connection to the untamed beauty of Alaska.

Adult pricing applies to all travelers. We do not recommend this tour for children under the age of 10 years due to safety concerns
Please dress appropriately. The temperatures can reach extreme conditions during the winter month and we recommend to dress in layers.
Please note that the Northern Lights are a natural occurrence and therefore cannot be guaranteed! (no refund possible)
The weather conditions are in no way predictable in our area and we will not offer a refund in case of too many clouds.
Exact schedule and itinerary of stops are subject to change based on daily conditions and Northern Lights activity on the day of your tour.
There is a possibility of cancellation due to dangerous weather and/or road conditions. If this occurs, an alternative date or full refund will be offered.
Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required. We are not able to provide gluten free or vegan options as there is limited availability of these items in Alaska.
Type of transportation: climate controlled van
The group size is limited to 8 people for each passenger van.
Customers are strongly encouraged to rotate seats at least a few times on the tour to give each person the opportunity of having a different view.
This tour requires being able to enter and exit our van with limited assistance. Please contact us if you have any concerns about mobility.

5.00Its worth taking the tour to get to the Arctic Circle without the fear of driving there yourself. Our guide Guy was knowledgeable and took us to every stops to make sure we had a comfortable ride. Food was provided with chips and 2 bottled water which was good but we also opted for some warm meal at the Yukon River stop which was a good stopover. Guy did his best in order to find us an aurora show eventhough forecast wasn't really great that evening but somehow lady aurora showerd herself a little. Overall it was a very good experience.
Worth It! Arctic terrain and aurora lights adventure!

5.00This tour was completely worth it!! It seems a little long, but the driver was completely safe and it was impressive how well she drove the van there and back. It was really unique to see how the terrain changes from snow to frost towards the Arctic Circle. And even though it was completely cloudy and snowing in Fairbanks and in the Arctic Circle, she was able to find us a patch of clear sky where we saw amazing Aurora lights.

5.00I took the Northern Lights tour to the Arctic Circle with Shannon. It was undoubtedly one of the best experiences of my life, and Shannon made it truly special. Shannon knows the route very well, knows how to "hunt" for the Northern Lights, and drives the Dalton Highway expertly. My only suggestion is that, as part of the tour (even for an extra fee), you could include photography, since not all visitors have a latest-generation iPhone, which is the phone with the best camera. However, thanks to Shannon, I was able to take home a great memory, as she took some photos of me with another tour participant's phone and sent them to me via WhatsApp. I will definitely return to Fairbanks for a longer stay on my next visit, and I will choose Alaska Wildlife Guide LLC to organize my tours.

5.00It was once in a lifetime experience and it’s really worth every penny. Shannon is a very energetic tour guide which made our Arctic Circle trip more memorable! Will do this again in our next visit to Fairbanks!

5.00The ride is long and in bad weather (we had constant snow) is a bit scary. However, the enchanted forest and being able to say you crossed the Arctic Circle is an experience of a lifetime. Our guide, Jessica, was amazing. She had a ton of knowledge and was a very safe driver. She made sure, throughout the drive, we were comfortable (needed a bathroom break) and gave us peace and quiet when people appeared tired. Unfortunately, because we had constant snow, we were not able to see the Northern Lights! My only complaint was the actual transportation. With the cost of this tour, it is time to purchase new vehicles. The van was old, very small (for 8 people) and not suited for the rough highway road. It’s time to purchase an actual shuttle for a ride this long!

5.00It's not a vacation unless there is a true adventure. What a great vacation. Had a great guide, Shannon. She is a born and raised Alaskan who is going to University of Alaska. She has exceptional knowledge of the the trees and animals of the area and great stories of her own personal encounters. She filled the hours with stories of her and her grandfather. She answered all our questions about dry cabin living, permafrost constraints, moose, bear encounters, just everything and a fearless driver to boot. We had a snowy tour, not great for northern lights but she stopped repeatedly during the drive until we were able to experience the Northern Lights.
Highly recommend this trip to experience Alaska

5.00My sister, husband and I had a great time. The guide ( can't remember her name) She was wonderful, she went out of her way to make sure we saw the aura, and we did. She was very energetic and was right there taking pics of everyone with their cameras. She was so knowledgeable of the area and answered a lot of questions, we learned more from her about the area then any place else. She also asked what we had seen to make sure we saw everything in the area.
