  We had one of the most amazing northern lights trip with Joonas! It was our second hunting trip and it felt like a more veritable Finnish experience, looking for the best spots, having a wonderful fire place and eventually seeing the northern lights after some well deserved waiting! The northern lights took their time, but Joonas was very flexible and accommodating (despite de 4am finish!!) and made the time pass in such style, with sausages and drinks and great Finnish history lessons!! And eventually the northern lights gave us the best show we could’ve wished for!! Thank you team!

  Staffs have knowledge to help us hunt the northern light. Also they are very helpful and supportive. The team provided activities for us while waiting for the northern light. Elder can join the Northern Lights hunting as staffs are always supportive, helpful and kind.

  

  

  

• Once in a Lifetime Experience- Highly Recommend!

  TLDR- Highly recommend and would have booked more tours with them if we had more time! We had originally booked the husky/aurora experience, however due to weather that wasn’t possible to do and they immediately offered us an alternative experience. The customer service was phenomenal and everyone was gracious and very friendly. I am very glad we ended up with the Northern Lights Adventure with Jonathan. He explained that they track the aurora and showed us how to do so, to be sure that if they took us out to look we would have a high likelihood of seeing the aurora. We stayed at the arctic guesthouse and igloos, and they are on site so pick up and changes were very easy for us. The tour started with a snowmobile sleigh ride to a large yurt where we roasted sausages and marshmallows and drank hot beverages while they explained the how we would follow the auroras. Then we walked a few hundred meters to hand fed young reindeer, which was truly a wonderful experience. The yurt is situated on a beautiful lake and we saw some small aurora there. Following the forecast, we then left and headed north of Rovaniemi to find a dark and secluded area where seeing the aurora was likely. Jonathan was diligent in following the forecasting and checking to find the best spot. Once we found a spot he built a fire and put out chairs with coverings, and shared some of his favorite chocolates with us. Jonathan was a wonderful conversationalist and we got the opportunity to compare and contrast our cultures and learn more about Finnish way of life. I previewed hundreds of tour companies out of Rovaniemi before booking with this company, and I could not be happier with my choice. The entire team was incredible and it truly was a once in a lifetime time experience! I have no critiques for the trip. My only comment is to be sure you dress appropriately warm so you can sit outside and truly enjoy watching the skies for the aurora. With all of our gear on and the fire it was very comfortable and really added to the overall experience versus sitting inside of the car. I brought hand warmers and foot warmers as a perpetually cold person, and was very glad I did!
