We meet in Tromso, but we travel where the sky is the best! This tour is specifically designed to maximize your chances of seeing the Northern Lights—a natural phenomenon that cannot be guaranteed. The weather around Tromsø can be unpredictable, with challenging road conditions and frequent cloud cover. These are the key reasons to join a tour with experienced guides who are familiar with the region and skilled at interpreting weather forecasts. This is not a typical sightseeing tour; instead, it’s a dynamic chase to find clear skies, stars, and hopefully the Northern Lights. Once we reach a location with stable and clear skies, we’ll set up a cozy bonfire surrounded by seating. You’ll be served warm soup and hot chocolate as you relax under the night sky. While you enjoy the magical display, our professional photographers will capture the moment. After the tour, you’ll receive free low-resolution photos—perfect for sharing on social media.

5.00I got so lucky earlier this week, I managed to join the tour at the very last minute, and wow, what an experience it turned out to be! From start to finish, it felt like pure magic. We were a small group, which made it feel more like an evening out with friends than a typical tour. Peter, our guide, picked the most stunning and romantic spot: a sandy beach with a little village in the distance. He set up a campfire, served us a delicious hot meal and drinks. Honestly, that alone for me would have been enough to make it an unforgettable night. I knew how unpredictable Northern Lights are and you can never be sure if you can catch a glimpse of them. But nature had a surprise waiting for us. Out of nowhere, the Northern Lights began to dance across the sky, turning the night into something out of a dream. Peter not only captured the Northern lights with his camera in all their glory, he also took some lovely candid shots of us. It truly was an evening I will never forget. Special thanks for providing me with a warm suit I could put over my clothes, without it I would certainly freeze a lot.

5.00When you visit Tromsø and the surrounding area, a Northern Lights tour is an absolute must-do. I was really lucky — the weather was clear, so we got to enjoy an amazing show, and we also had the good fortune of having Peter as our guide. He’s funny, knowledgeable, and makes it easy to understand Norwegian lifestyle and anything you’re curious about. Huge thanks to him for this incredible experience — and I wish everyone clear skies and good cameras!

5.00our family of 8 booked a small group tour although the forecast was not very promising. Peter took us out to snap some photos of fjords and mountains. Then he took us to his secret dark spot, set up a camp fire and handed out some very nice soup from his personal recipe. He shared much stories and we chatted thru the night while watching beautiful aurora lights dancing above. Delightful memories for all of us.

5.00I went on the Northern Lights tour with SteamPier twice—and honestly, both times were magical. Hands down one of the best experiences of my life. The tours are super well-organized, and what I loved most is that they keep the groups small, so it feels really personal and not touristy at all. You can tell they genuinely care about giving you the best chance to see the lights and making the whole night special. Both times, I felt like I was living in a dream—just standing under the sky with the aurora dancing above me. Total bucket list moment. If you're thinking about doing a Northern Lights tour, I 1000% recommend SteamPier. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

5.00My sister and I booked the NL tours with them and our guides Sebastian and Peter took us to the most amazing place to watch the Auroras. Amazing experience! Really grateful to have gone with them, for the soup they gave us and for the magical night it was :)

5.00I have nothing to complain about — everything was perfect. Our guide, Petr, did his best to give us an amazing Northern Lights experience, even in difficult conditions. 5.00We did the Northern Lights Tour and the Fjord Tour with Sebastian and loved it! He showed us beautiful places and amazing lights. We felt save throughout the tour with lots of snow and slippery streets and also well informed. Aside from that he kept us warm with a campfire and hot soup.

5.00We spent two days in early January with Peter. First day he took us on a daily tour of island of Senja. Second day he took us mountain shoeing on top of a fjord closer to Tromso. He was the best tour guide we have ever had: friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, punctual. Not only he drove us around to the most beautiful scenic spots, but he also took great photos on both days and prepared food for us. On a more personal note, he was simply kind, likeable and had a great energy. Highly recommended.
