Disappointing tour of Nosy Be

2.00Driver Ernest did his job keeping the car on the road and drove safely. Apollino, the guide, was friendly and approachable, but we were not told the truth about the Lemurs (told they were hiding due to weather) when others on similar tours were taken to the lemur reserve and interacted personally with them. We did go to the viewpoint and then slowly went back to the tender port stopping for an unnecessary lunch where the guide and driver had to wait in the car -there was lots of rain. The beach was cancelled. The driver and guide did what apparently their 'boss' told them to do. We were very disappointed that the stated 9 hour tour ended up being 4.5 hours and did not include the visit to the Lemurs - a national icon that others DID get to see due to cancelling the beach trip time due to the weather. A partial refund would be appropriate.!! We have had good experiences with Viatour tours previously and this guide Apollino was a 'nice guy' but obviously limited by the local company.

5.00Interesting experience but I had a great time. I came off a cruise ship again and was running late but my drive was waiting for me. We picked up another guide and we were off. There was definitely a language barrier but they tried hard and we made it work. He took me everywhere I wanted and helped with photos. There was lunch and I saw others from the ship who paid massively more doing the similar but less. This was a private section with two awesome guys and I couldn't be happier. I can't expect them to speak my language in their country but the fact they tried so hard I appreciated and we made it work. Highly recommended if you want a tour of the island.

5.00Franck was AMAZING. He is very knowledgeable about the area and the country. He also allowed for a deviated option based on the limited time we had in port.

5.00Nothing to complain about, the organization and support by a small, friendly team, very available and attentive. The stay had started in disaster, however, a cyclone did us the honor of accompanying us for 3 days, but the Yamaya team was able to be responsive and the stay was very pleasant. A very touristy visit, next time we hope to be a little more immersed in the land and real life. Recommended +++ days
Good tour but the van broken down twice

4.00Our cruise ship excursion private tour guide pronounced "Aporino" and driver are very good except the van broke down twice. First time the clutch stuck and second time the right rear tire went flat. We end up hiking to the Mount Passot for the last half hour and wasted a good 45 minutes on the road. We had to skip our dinner at the beach to barely get back to the port for the very last tender. It was very scary for the 8 of us. Otherwise the first part of our private tour went very well. To the tour company, please check your fleet to make sure your vehicles are in good condition. The most important thing for cruise passengers are to get back to cruise port in time.

5.00Frank our tour guide was the best . It was pouring rain, hard very hard almost any visibility but Frank make sure we had a perfect day. Wonderful. Friendly people everywhere.

5.00Nosy Be is rich in wildlife and beautiful beaches. I enjoyed the tour. They were on time and brought me back to the ship on time. It's a real local experience, if you want to get to see local villages and attractions. It's customized and they provide a lunch for you. Very kind people! Love them!

4.00It was quite an experience! The guide was good and we were met as arranged, but the first tuc tuc was not so good, it broke down…. We were immediately transferred into another one and continued the tour. The roads in Madagascar left much to be desired, some were all pot holes, but the tuc tuc driver did his best to avoid as many as possible, but not all!!

5.00Our guide and driver were excellent and provided us with a most knowledgeable and comprehensive tour of Nosy Be by tuk-tuk during our French-language tour. They were also most accommodating, offering us ample opportunities to take photos and to linger at some sites that we found particularly interesting.
