• Fantastic way to hit the high points

  We had never been to Oahu before and decided not to have a car for our first trip since most things were walkable or a quick and cheap Lyft ride from our hotel. We did want to see other parts of the island on our visit, and the circle island tour was the perfect way to do it! They picked us up near our hotel (literally less than a block’s walk away) and we got to enjoy sunrise from Diamond Head, see the blowhole, eternity beach, the temple, the North Shore, and Dole Plantation. We also got to see a hazelnut plantation and sample coffee and the highlight was snorkeling. We actually snorkeled at Turtle Beach resort because the water was too rough at our originally planned stop. The driver was fantastic all day and we got to see Oahu outside of Waikiki which was a definite highlight of our week in Hawaii. Such a great value, and we definitely recommend this and would do it again!

  

  

  

  

  

  

• Bait and Switch Tour

  We signed up for the Oahu ultimate tour, which was supposed to include Poli overlook, and enough time at the Dole plantation for the train. The day before the tour, they called and said that they had van trouble and they were putting us on a different tour. They must’ve thought that we would not talk to the other people on the bus because all the other people had signed up for the exact same tour and were told the same thing. It was just a way for them to get out of taking us to the promised places. They replaced the Pali overlook with a coffee “farm”. The coffee farm was nothing other than a retail shop. You saw nothing of a coffee Farm. They also told us that the Dole stop would only be 20 minutes and so we could no longer go on the train. The funny thing is most of the tour was stopping at junk shops along the way. We asked if we could not stop at all these junk shops and have more time at the Dole plantation and then also stop at Pali. We were told no that was a different tour. Also, they said it would include drinks and snacks so we did not bring anything to drink or eat. When people asked about the drinks and snacks, we were told there are no drinks and snacks included. The worst part was the driver, Rob. Rob was so nasty to a young couple with a baby that on our first stop, the family chose to stay at the side of the road and try and get in touch with an Uber driver. Rob actually left a young couple with a baby stranded on the side of the highway. He said it was their choice to get off. But he was constantly yelling at them about the baby, and the baby wasn’t even doing anything other than sitting on his mom‘s lap. But Rob was upset that the baby touched his window. We were also told we could not talk or ask questions while he was driving. When we did ask questions, he didn’t know the answer. He told us your guess is as good as mine. All he did was make impressions of people that were standing on the side of the road, constantly brought up the young couple that got off, even after we asked him to stop talking about it, and reminded us at least once an hour to tip him. This tour is not worth your time or money. They give you the illusion of one tour and then at the last minute change it to a retail shop tour. Given the fact that all of us were told the same story, we questioned why this bus load of people who paid for the Oahu ultimate tour weren’t given that tour. But then suddenly this company stopped responding to phone calls and messages.

  My guide was Uncle T. I got more than I paid for on the tour. The history lesson alone was worth the price of the trip. There was more than enough time to see everything on the tour. This was our first trip to Hawaii. The tour absolutely made the trip. There wasn't too many people on the bus, which made it stress free not having to deal with a large crowd. Uncle T made the vibe a welcoming atmosphere. If you want a perfect trip, Circle Island is the best for that.

  I traveled with my wife, two teenage boys, and in-laws. They all enjoyed the trip, plenty of scenic views, very busy tour(that was a positive), “Cap”was a very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide, the only issue was that we never made it to Haleiwa Beach Park for snorkeling due to the strong waves/weather but there was a plan B, Turtle Beach, which my family enjoyed.

  Absolutely loved the circle island tour. We got to see so much more of oahu without having a car during our trip. The other areas of the island outside of waikiki are a must see and this tour is the best most cost effective way to do it! Highly recommend.

  Wonderful experience! My husband was at a conference so I went alone. Everyone was very helpful and the entire experience was enjoyable. The crew was very knowledgeable.

  SCAM - this tour does not exist. We wasted half a day waiting for a bus that never came...our "urgent" phone messages were never answered. This appears to be a criminal operation that has some smooth web writers and phone solicitors as their only staff. Trip Advisor and Viator refused to act or to refund our money; fortunately, our credit card was able to retrieve our money. It is sad and upsetting that Trip Advisor continues to sponsor their ads.

  I gave this a 2 because it was a way to visit many different sites. However, that’s the only positive. The bus was worn out, windows were dirty so no room for photos. It felt cramped and warm, and we spent the majority of the day in the bus. The driver could be heard breathing in the microphone and had very little to offer from the sense of a “guide.” I sat in the back and the AC dripped on me the majority of the day. The beach we snorkeled at was full of rocks - not a single turtle, which was supposed to be the highlight.
