Each Ocean Rafting day includes an exhilarating ride to world famous Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet Beach and Lookout, pristine snorkelling reefs and guided Whitsunday Island National Parks walks, all in one day! The semi rigid inflatable vessels are super fast allowing you to experience a fun ride, adventure and education amongst the natural beauty of the Whitsundays.
Ocean Rafting offers two different Whitehaven Beach tours to choose from, the Northern Exposure and the Southern Lights tour. The significant difference between the two tours is that the Northern Exposure offers more snorkelling time and the Southern Lights offers more Whitehaven beach time.
Ocean Rafting is the only tour operator to have direct access to the stunning and iconic Hill Inlet beach and secret snorkel sites around the Whitsundays ensuring a memorable underwater experience.

Northern Exposure
Includes snorkeling at two sites, a stop at Hill Inlet on Whitehaven Beach and a guided walk. Ideal for those wanting maximum snorkeling time. Check-in at 8am for 8:45am departure. Returns 3:30pm Pickup included
Southern Lights
Visits both ends of Whitehaven Beach. Includes one snorkeling site and a Hill Inlet guided walk. Ideal for those wanting more beach time. Check-in at 9am for 10am departure. Returns at 4:30pm Pickup included

3.00I cannot recommend this experience for children. The boat ride was too frightening for my 5‑year‑old son. The rafting was extremely bumpy, and the driver performed many spins that were not enjoyable for my family. It may be fun for young adults, but it is definitely not suitable for kids.

5.00The experience was great from the pick up to the drop off. The Ocean Raft was fast and great fun, Whitehaven beach and the whole Whitsundays were beautiful and the snorkeling was much better than I was expecting. Brad & Ali we’re really friendly and looked after us, always felt safe. Would do it again for sure

5.00We went on the full day trip with Nick, Ruby and Loki as our crew. It was a fantastic day. We had been e-mailed prior about the weather conditions and give options as they were expecting windy conditions. The ride out to Whitehaven was exhilarating whilst feeling safe the whole time. The crew checked in with us often to assure we were doing ok. The whole day was laid out perfectly - from the hike to the lookouts, to the snorkelling and then finally the allotted time to relax on the beach. Highly recommend Ocean Rafting and if you are lucky enough to get the same crew- your day will be golden! Thanks for a fantastic day trip!

5.00Oh my gosh, this was the perfect day - snorkeling, raft boating, swimming, beach, bushwalk with amazing views, included yummy lunch. We had great weather as well. I would so recommend this tour!! I was worried about being seasick -- not at all! I enjoyed the ride! Thanks Hailie and Jacob from Thunderstruck boat! April 2026

4.00Great day out, beautiful part of the world. Would have loved more snorkeling time, though not sure what to remove from the itinerary to allow for that! Maybe stay one spot??? Guide and skipper were nice and ensure everyone’s safety and wellness throughout. Lunch was excellence, better than expected for this type of tour. View was stellar also!

5.00Best Day Ever 25April26- our hosts were Brett and Conor who were charged with positive fun energy the entire day. Highlight for me was the lookout at Whitehaven beach and snorkeling with my girls. On a side note my daughter has an severe allergy to nuts and it was very comforting to know all food on the trip was nut free. Would definity recommend to others and join another ocean rafting adventure tour in the future.
