The semi rigid inflatable vessels are super fast allowing you to experience a fun ride, adventure and education amongst the natural beauty of the Whitsundays.
Ocean Rafting offers two different Whitehaven Beach tours to choose from, the Northern Exposure and the Southern Lights tour. The significant difference between the two tours is that the Northern Exposure offers more snorkelling time and the Southern Lights offers more Whitehaven beach time.
Ocean Rafting is the only tour operator to have direct access to the stunning and iconic Hill Inlet beach and secret snorkel sites around the Whitsundays ensuring a memorable underwater experience.

5.00Great day out. Whitehaven beach was incredible. Recommend you get the lunch, it was delicious. The crew Chris and Conner explained evrything in detail and ensured we had a great time.

5.00An amazing experience. Cannot recommend enough Ocean Rafting. A very last minute decision and Ocean Rafting were very accommodating, even picking us up at our hotel with one hours notice. Stinger suits were provided at the marina and we left on time. Our skipper Mac and guide Lily were very friendly and made the day so much fun. The boat trip to Whitsundays Island was exhilarating and Max did some donuts which was so much fun. The guided bush walk up to Hill Inlet was fun and the view from the lookout breathtaking. Lily was very knowledgeable and provided some great tips about scrubbing our jewellery and bodies in the silica white sand when we got to Whitehaven Beach. My skin was glowing that night. Snorkelling was something I will never forget. Snorkelling instruction and safety was provided and flotation devices and noodles if needed. A lovely healthy lunch and cold drinks at Whitehaven Beach and hours of swimming and relaxing was so good for the soul. The return trip back to Airlie was as good as the way there and we were spoilt with lamingtons and fresh fruit. The best day trip I’ve ever done. If I ever go back to Airlie I would do this trip again. Thank you Max and Lily and all the staff at Ocean Rafting, a day I will never forget.

5.00Our group had an amazing day on the Ocean Rafting Whitehaven tour. From start to finish it was a lot of fun and a great way to experience the surrounding islands in one day. Brent, our captain, was fantastic — his positive energy really set the tone and made the trip even more enjoyable. He was incredibly helpful, shared loads of interesting information about the tour spots, and even gave us great suggestions on where to head next on our travels. Lunch was decent too. Overall, it was an excellent way to see Whitehaven and the nearby islands without needing to stay overnight. Highly recommend!
The waters were super nice and the beaches definitely live up to the hype, soo beautiful. definitely worth it!!

5.00We enjoyed this excursion very much. Checking in was great, very organized. The boat was comfortable and fun. Our captain Ben and First Mate Marcia were great, answered all our questions. Visiting Whitehaven Beach was a highlight, absolutely beautiful. Lunch was good, the first snorkeling spot was amazing, second snorkel was OK. Music on the boat was a little loud for our preference. Really enjoyed our day.

5.00The Ocean Rafting team were incredible today! My travel group adventured on the “Thunderstruck” boat with Brent and Hayden and they were amazing! Both crew members were funny, supportive, and just generally great guys to have with the group. Thank you to team Ocean Rafting and most importantly, to Brent and Hayden for creating such an unforgettable day for us all!

5.00This tour was absolutely amazing! The rafting was thrilling and so much fun, and the vibe on the boat was fantastic. We cruised along with stunning scenery and great music the whole way. Big shout-out to our guide, Genna (hope I spelled her name right!) — she was incredible. She took such great care of us throughout the trip and even helped us take lots of awesome photos. My snorkeling skills aren’t the best, but she guided me so patiently and thoughtfully, which really made me feel well looked after.

5.00Wanted to say what an amazing day it was, the Crew - Mirran, Conor and Abby were absolutely fantastic. Conor was always in high spirits and always checking in on us, Abby was always ready to help and giving us some great history about the islands and Mirran was so attentive to our enjoyment but also safety! It’s a long day but the crew were always hyped even on the way home. An amazing day, seeing the turtles, coral life and also Mirran turned the boat so we could see some dolphins up close, which I had never seen before. A huge thank you to the crew for an incredible day, sending my thanks to all of them!! :)
