• November kayak - a little windy on the open water, calm in the mangroves

  A very enjoyable paddle through the mangroves. The tour is advertised as half day and you’re on the water for ~1hr. Our guide Shogo was full of positive energy and provided interesting information about the mangroves in quality English (he was bouncing between English and Japanese on this tour - quite a feat!) He was helpful to a lady who had never paddled before and attached her kayak to his. Note: you must paddle across the main river to reach the mangrove area - if it’s windy it could be difficult. My only complaint about this tour - and I suspect it’s the same for all companies - solo travellers want a single kayak, not a double! (at least I wasn’t paired with a stranger)

  We joined a half-day tour that was very well organized from start to finish. Our guide was friendly, fun, and extremely knowledgeable, explaining everything about the local nature and wildlife in an engaging way. The pickup service was punctual and convenient, and having access to a hot shower after the tour was a great plus. Everything was interesting, enjoyable, and well worth it — highly recommended for anyone visiting Iriomote! 🚣‍♂️🌴✨

  The guides were bright, powerful and had a great time! It was great to be exposed to nature in Iriomoteyama and I learned a lot! It was a wonderful memory! Team Seki is awesome.

  There were some unexpected problems, such as the port where we were planning to dock from the morning, and a little rain and wind due to the typhoon, but the reliable guide staff were cheerful and resourceful, so I really enjoyed it! I would love to go on a night tour the next time I get the chance!

  The canoe tour I took in Iriomote Island was really amazing. Just looking at the mangrove forests on both sides of the calm river was inspiring, but the guide (Team Seki!) explained it so clearly that I could not only see it but also "get to know it". They explained the ecology and role of mangroves attentively, giving us a real sense of how nature supports island life and living things. The depth of knowledge and love of nature conveyed by the guides, and the tour made us feel closer to the nature of Iriomote Island. The canoe itself was stable, so even beginners could enjoy it with peace of mind. This is a highly recommended experience for visitors to Iriomote Island. It was a precious time not only for sightseeing but also for learning and feeling nature. Thank you, Mr. Seki.

  

• SUP Paddle through Iriomotes mangrove forests with great value for money

  We were a group of 4 people who was warmly welcomed upon arrival on Iriomote. Our tour guide picked us up and drove us to the spot. From there we continued on to the SUP boards provided by PiPi Adventure. Guided by the guide, we were guided in the Magrove forests. It got adventurous when we got off and were allowed to explore the forests on foot. It should be borne in mind that with its lower body up to max. hip height will be under water. One should therefore take care to wear the right clothes. Unfortunately, the tour was quite short by our standards. You could have paddled longer. Nevertheless, exploration was quite feasible in time. You didn't feel pushed either. Thanks to our guide who also spoke very good English and could explain some things to us. Photos were also taken throughout the day, which you could simply have sent over at the end of the day. Thanks to our Guid and see you next time!

  Team Seki. I went around with the German people and it was interesting! Mr. Seki was fluent in English lol We met the bush eagle, who was in the car to take pictures, but stopped! And the trivia was amazing!

  Seki-san team joined the mangrove tour! They explained about mangroves and living things in detail, which gave us a better understanding of Iriomote Island! Time passed so quickly and it was really fun. Thank you for taking so many photos! Thank you.
