Sultan is an excellent tour guide—very welcoming, knowledgeable, and hospitable. We met him on Friday morning for the cattle market which was quite the experience and then explored Nizwa Souq (which we enjoyed more than Muttrah). I very much appreciated his perspective on the history of the area and the country (and very willing to engage and answer any questions we had). And the Nizwa fort and learning about the Falaj system was great as well—highly recommend!
Sultan was informative, friendly, knowledgeable and provided wonderful insight into Nizwa’s past and present history.i w

I spontaneously booked a tour with Sultan for a Friday morning. I have to say, I was really impressed and the tour was worth every penny! Sultan is very friendly and open to all questions. His information about the souk, the fort, Nizwa, and Oman in general was very exciting for me! I recommend the tour 100%.

I can highly recommend this walking tour of Nizwa. Abdullah has a very deep knowledge of the city and its history. He hugely added to our enjoyment of the various souks and their products and the buildings they operate in. The castle was also very interesting. We went on a Friday (do this if you can) and the weekly goat market is fascinating. We would have missed a huge amount of interesting facts and sights in the city if we had done it on our own without Abdullah.

We explored Nizwa Souq, Nizwa Fort and Birkat Almouz with Mohammed. An excellent warm insight into the region and its history. Mohammed collected us from our hotel on Jabal Akhdar and we spent 6hours with him which was great value. Our hotel was charging significantly higher for the same excursion.

Ibrahim was a fantastic guide taking care of our family and our small kids 4 and 5 yo. He was supportive and helping us in our tour explaining all the surrounding and answering to all their questions. He makes live local picnic with perfect coffe.

This was a great excursion in the surroundings of Nizwa. Very nice and competent guide, good vehicle. We visited villages and farms and had a fabulous lunch with local food

The tour of the old town and the Nizwa Fort and the souk was very informative and friendly and in perfect English. The recommendation of the Birkat Al Mouz oasis with the Heritage Café was also excellent.
