Lickrish Food Tours invites you to eat like a local on its Bridgetown tour. Enjoy this historic and cultural experience as an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide shares their knowledge on local food treasures, Bridgetown’s architectural gems, and history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Expect to be on the tour for about three hours as you leisurely stroll a modest 1.5 miles through the city, where you will not only become enriched with the history of one of the oldest cities in the Caribbean, but also get to eat where the locals eat and enjoy great Bajan cuisine. 4.00I recently did the Lickrish Food Tour with my wife and another couple, and overall it was a great experience. Our tour guide, Searnia, was excellent, very knowledgeable, engaging, and kept the energy lively throughout the entire tour. She really made the experience enjoyable and gave great insight into the culture and history of Barbados. The tour itself around the town was well organized and gave a nice mix of sightseeing and local experiences. That said, one area for improvement would be the food aspect. Given that “Lickrish” implies indulgence, I expected a bit more in terms of both the variety and quantity of authentic Bajan dishes—especially considering the price point. The food we had was good, but I felt there could have been more stops or a wider selection to truly showcase the richness of Bajan cuisine. Overall, I would still recommend the tour particularly because of the great guiding experience but with some enhancements to the food offering, it could easily be a 5-star experience.

5.00This was a great morning activity. Our tour guide Tamara was both knowledgeable and very witty. She was great fun. We got a detailed tour of Bridgetown and tasted many dishes…. You need to be hungry on this tour, there’s plenty to eat. Shout out to Alan our driver too! He was great. Thanks to both of you!

5.00My husband and I did the original Bajan walking tour while in Barbados for the day. Our guide was Janelle. I appreciated how conscientious she was about my dietary restrictions (vegetarian) and while there was one stop where there was nothing for me, I was given extra at the previous stop, which I thought was more than generous! There were at least seven stops and a good variety of foods, plus lots of history. Janelle was a great leader and it was always clear where we were headed, what we were eating, what was happening next, etc. Prepare for a fair bit of walking and standing, a LOT of food, and a great time!

5.00This has to be the best food tour we’ve ever done. Paulette was brilliant, welcoming, funny, full of knowledge which she shared so wonderfully with us. The food was epic. I was expecting sample size food and we got proper food. Go hungry and you won’t be disappointed. I’m vegetarian and they catered fantastically for me. The lentil pastry at the start instead of meat and plantain, pumpkin, macaroni all delicious and the aubergine with cheese to finish. Epic! I was crawling away from the tour. I forgot to take photos, I was so distracted with the food! This is a must do!

5.00Really good blend of history, foodie information, tour of some of Bridgetown and plenty of actual tasty food as well. Alan the driver was reliable and the car had air con too. Our tour guide Paulette was knowlegable and very entertaining. We definitely recommend this.

5.00We had an incredible experience with Lickrish Food Tours in Barbados! Our guide, Paulette, was absolutely wonderful; warm, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. She brought downtown Bridgetown to life by sharing its rich history while guiding us through hidden local gems we never would have found on our own. From the best fish cakes to delicious bakery treats and perfectly fried fish, every stop was a highlight. It truly felt like we were experiencing the heart of Barbados like a local. Thank you, Paulette, your humor and insight made this tour unforgettable. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting!

5.00Delicious way to explore Bridgetown and learn about Bajan food culture. Shari was a fun, knowledgeable guide. Went with family 15-60 and we all enjoyed it. Would totally recommend! Two highlights were the sugar cane and the best fish cakes!
