Aiko was the best guide, fantastic time on the tour. She told us about real life in Japan. We stopped at a candy store and she helped pick out snacks and candy for my son. We visited a temple and she taught us how to make a prayer. She even took me to a subway station at the end of the tour.

We loved this experience, especially since we had just arrived in Osaka about an hour before the tour, so it was a great way to be introduced to Osaka. Not only was the food great to try, we got to see many of the sites that were on my list. Our guide was very friendly and and fun - we learned a lot. We first went to a restaurant and sat down to try Kushikatusu (deep fried skewers), there was a veggie and non-veggie option, along with drinks and desert. Next was the Takoyaki ( (octopus balls) which the octopus was mixed with other ingredients and it was pretty good. Finally we went to another restaurant to try the Okonomiyaki (Japanese pancake). We watched the chef make the pancake from scratch. There was plenty of food, actually too much. Afterwards, our guide helped to direct us where we were going next (we wanted to explore more and then go back to the hotel). There was a lot of walking, but we were fine with it. Taisei was the best guide and we just loved this experience - we highly recommend it and worth the price!

I highly recommend this food tour! We were fortunate to have Reiko as our guide who introduced us to delicious Osaka comfort foods and took us on a visually stunning journey through the lively streets of Osaka. Along the way we tried several types of tempura skewers including seafood, vegetable, pork and a surprise for me quail egg. I enjoyed all of them and the portion was generous. Reiko took us through some small alleys to visit a shrine and spent time discussing culture and history and was very informative. I really enjoyed talking with her as she was very friendly and knowledgeable and open to any and all questions. At our next stop we tried four different types of Okonomyoki a savory style of pancake. I was excited to try this as I had seen a video prior to our trip and really wanted to sample this dish. I was not disappointed! Extremely flavorful and satisfying with the consensus from our small group that the cheesy type was the best! My least favorite was the noodle type which to me wasn’t a whole lot different from other Asian noodles I’ve tried. Reiko then took us through the dazzling streets of Dotonbori which are a must see at night! Bright lights, outlandish advertising and visual stimulation everywhere. While there we sampled a street food dish of fried Octopus balls. Caution they are served red hot so take my advice and take a skewer and open that sucker up or prepare yourself for a steaming lava experience. Once cooled sufficiently I really did enjoy this dish; it was creamy with a mild seafood flavor. To summarize I highly recommend to book this food tour and if you’re lucky enough to have Reiko as your guide all the better!

Nina was a fantastic tour guide. She was very personable and knowledgeable. The restaurants she brought us to had a very local feel. The okonomiyaki was some of the best food I had in Osaka. She walked us through hidden streets with temples and shrines which magically contrasted with the dreamy new world vibe of Shinsekai and Dotonbori. Highly recommend!

Great experience. T was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable. I think he said he grew up in Osaka, so he had local knowledge. There was a wide variety of food that a normal tourist would not be aware of to try. There was also a lot of food. We started hungry and ended full. T also went out of his way to show us an Arcade game spot and took us to see the popular “Glicko Man.” Overall, we had an awesome time!

Hiro took us around Osaka and showed us some sights and sounds. It was our first day in town and it was great to see the entertainment districts. We ate lots of local specialities and had quite a few drinks. Hiro's English is excellent and he looked after us really well
